The recent death has occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 27, 2023 of Patrick (Patsy) Berry, Lissahillion, Glasson, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Bridgie, daughters Michelle, Patrice and Helen, sons-in-law Keith (Masters) and Enda (McCormack), his adoring grandchildren Ciara, Niamh, Senan, Eilish, and Dónal, brother Ned, sister Jospehine (Butler) and Rose (Duffy), in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, colleagues and many friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home (N37 WY17) on Friday evening, July 28 from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral will take place on Sunday, July 30 in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tubberclaire after 11am mass followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House Private Please. Anyone wishing to offer their sympathies to the family can leave a message by clicking on the “Condolences” tab on rip.ie. The family greatly appreciates your sympathy and support at this very difficult time. Due to increases in viruses and vulnerability of elderly people, the family asks that those attending the funeral be vigilant and hand sanitise where appropriate.

Charlie Barone, No 1 Lisbrack Road, Longford Town, Longford


The recent death has occurred peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 of Charlie Barone, No 1 Lisbrack Road, Longford town. 

Predeceased by his parents, brother and sisters. Charlie will be forever remembered by his loving family, his beloved wife Jenny, daughter Charlotte, sons Charlie and Emmet, daughter-in-law Jane, adored grandchildren Eva, Millie and Max, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and dear friends. Your life was love and labour, Your love for your family true, You did your best for all of us, We will always love and remember you. Rest in Peace Charlie.


Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St, Longford, (N39P0E8), on Saturday, July 29 from 10am concluding with prayers 11am., followed with cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan, 1.30pm. Condolences can be left for Charlie's family in the link on rip.ie.

Bernadette Dolan (née Dolphin), High Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim

The recent death has occurred peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of both Cavan General Hospital and Ballinamore Nursing Unit on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 of Bernadette Dolan (nee Dolphin), High Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Pat Joe, her beloved family Joe, Gemma (McCaffrey), Hugh, John, Tommy, David, Mark & Clodagh (Hanly), daughters-in-law, Anne, Kate, Siobhán, Caroline & Elaine, sons-in-law Diarmuid & James, her adored grandchildren Cian, Caoimhe, Mark, Ronan, Conor, Éabha, Samuel, Connie, Harry, Óran, Emily, Matthew, Aidan, Liam & Sophia, brother Brendan, sisters-in-law Maureen, Maura, Dympna & Bernadette, brother-in-law Edmund, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May She Rest in Peace.


Reposed at Smith's Funeral Home, High St., Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim (N41 TD62) on Thursday evening, July 27 from 6pm until 8.30pm. Removal from the residence of her daughter Gemma (Willowfield Road) on Friday, July 28 arriving to St. Patrick's Church, Ballinamore, for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Oughteragh Cemetery.


House strictly private at all times, please. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the patient comfort fund at Ballinamore Community Nursing Unit, c/o Smith’s Funeral Directors.
