The final countdown to the 64th annual Arva Agricultural Show which takes place on Sunday, July 30 is underway in earnest.
Events of this magnitude can never go ahead without dedicated and committed volunteers, and Arva Agricultural Show is fortunate to have some top class people involved since the Show’s foundation.
A meeting will be held tomorrow Thursday night, July 27 at 9pm in St Patrick’s Hall, Arva for all workers / volunteers who are helping out at Arva Agricultural Show on Sunday next.
If you are not a member but would like to help please come along to Thursday’s meeting where you will be most welcome.
With all the usual classes, which can now be viewed online at www.arvashow.com, this is the 64th annual show and it always brings out great exhibits in the various classes from Livestock to Farm and Garden, Home Crafts and the very popular Dog Show.
There are Juvenile Classes organised through the local National Schools, Bonny Baby Competition, Best Dressed Lady and Gent.
Many people living away from home make a point of taking holidays to attend as they are sure to renew old friendships.
It is always a fantastic day for the wider community to meet up and take a look at all the quality exhibits on show.
There is a wide variety of Trade Stands, multiple Refreshment options and free parking so come along and support the committee who endeavour to keep this great event running.
With a large number of young people involved it is hoped to see the Show continue long into the future.
