It was a day to remember for the emerging stars of Killoe Celtic Minor Soccer Club (Under 10s) as they were selected as mascots for the recent Ireland Women's soccer side's recent friendly encounter with France at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin.

Christine Monaghan and proud mammy of Michelle Monaghan, who was among the mascots on the day said the occasion was one none of the girls of parents would ever forget.

"The girls were awesome," she said. "We're so proud of them.

"The girls walked onto the field with the players hand in hand and they shook hands with the President.

"A big thank you to Chris Cullen,Andrea Clarke (she organised this event), Ash Puri, Clare, Aidan Quinn, Maggie Donohoe, Jacinta and all the coaches, staff from Killoe Celtic FC for their hard work and dedication over the years which made this memorable experience happened."
