Special guest to perform at Grand Concert of Longford's inaugural Camlin Keys Piano Festival

 Lenny Chen, 12 years old from Boyle, Co Roscommon

Camlin Keys Piano Festival are excited to confirm a surprise guest to close their Grand Concert on Saturday, June 17. 

"We are delighted to announce Lenny Chen, 12 years old from Boyle, Co Roscommon, will be performing in St John’s Church, tomorrow evening. Lenny is a talented young man with a bright future as a concert pianist. He’s a student of Shirin Goudarzi-Tobin, TU Dublin Conservatoire.

"Apart from successes in National and International piano competitions last year, Lenny had his first solo concert in Boyle Art Festival 2022 and will be back there in 2023.  

Awards and prizes so far this year include;
at Royal Irish Academy of Music PianoFest 2023: Valerie Walker Rosebowl, Baroque stylistic period: 1st prize winner Margaret Furlong Recital Cup: 1st Prize winner
Newpark Academy of Music: Newpark Festival 2023, piano Under 16: 1st Prize winner
Feis Ceoil 2023: Rhona Marshall Cup: 2nd Prize
Piano Duet Under 14: 2nd Prize with duet partner Athénaïs Selve
EPTA Ireland: Piano Festival 2023:
Piano Duet: 1st Prize winner with duet partner Athénaïs Selve
Feis Shligigh 2023: McCullough-Pigott Cup: 1st Prize winner
The New York Young Performers Prize (NYYPP) 2023: Lucy Boyan Balakian Award: Junior 11-12: 1st Prize Winner

Lenny has also been given a wonderful opportunity to participate in MusicFest Perugia Italy, July 2023. Recommended by Steinway artist Professor Ian Jones, Royal College of Music, London.

This is a great opportunity for all the family to hear Lenny Chen play and experience the talent of this young performer.
