Déirdre Orme accepted the 'The Carmel Fay Perpetual Trophy' on behalf of the Knights & Conquests team at a recent presentation night held in Macken's Boomerang Bar.
The perpetual trophy was presented by Sinead Fay and is dedicated to the memory of her mother Carmel - former town councillor and community stalwart, who along with husband Paul, was deeply involved in Granard life.
The success of Granard Easter Festival is a testament to the hardworking committee, volunteers & stewards.
Presentations and appreciations for Granard Easter Festival were also awarded to Rath Mhuire Men’s Shed, Bunlahy Area Action Group and Sacred Heart National School.
The award-winning Knights and Conquests Heritage Centre is operated by Granard Motte Community Enterprise CLG, whose
AGM is on Tuesday, May 23 at 8pm in the Knights and Conquests Interpretative Centre. All are welcome.
