Katie Gallagher is a secondary school teacher in Athlone Community College. She’s best known for her career as a musician under the alias, KTG, and will soon release her second album ‘The Long Road Home’. Her song ‘Yesterday’ helped raise funds for DCU Alzheimer's Research and it was recorded with Longford's own Paul Gurney. She also had the privilege of winning the Tipperary International Song of Peace with her song, 'Borders'. She has just recently come off the stage with St Mel's Musical Society where she ditched the guitar and became Rusty, in the hugely successful production of Footloose.
