PICTURES | Longford groups enjoy success at Leinster Scór Finals in Wexford

Six groups represented Longford at the Scór na nÓg Leinster Final in the National Opera House Wexford on Sunday and two have successfully progressed as provincial champions to the All-Ireland Final which takes place in Killarney on Saturday, May 6.

The Ballymore Figure Dancers (Rince Foirne) and Killoe Óg Question Time (Trath na gCeist) teams managed to come through a hugely competitive afternoon and they are wished every success in the All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Finals. READ MORE BELOW PHOTO

The Ballymore group is made up of Elaine Tully, Zara Drake, Roisin Grant, Erin Flynn, Chantel Higgins, Roisin Green, Sarah Jane Sheridan, Cadhlagh Browne and Saidbh Flynn, and they are coached by Carla Reynolds Flynn. 

While the Killoe Óg quiz team comprises Ryan Keogh, Gerald Keogh, Conor Doherty and Tommy Tully, and their mentors are Aron Fitzpatrick and Jacinta Keogh.

Longford was also represented on the provincial final stage by Wolfe Tones Óg in Instrumental Music (Ceol Uirlise), Killoe Óg in Ballad Group (Bailéad Ghrúpa) and Novelty Act (Nuachleas), and Abbeylara in Set Dancing (Rince Seit). 

The Trad trio of Nadine Smith, Catriona Ryan and Tomas Mulligan proudly represented Wolfe Tones Óg, while Abbeylara's standard bearers, under the guidance of Jane Reilly, were JJ Reilly, Mel Mulligan, Cathal Reilly, Sean Costello, Anna Tully, Annie Drake, Norah Drake and Mary Reilly.

The Killoe Óg ballad group was made up of Rebecca Moorhead, Abbey White, Aimee Dolan, Robyn Dunne and Alex Lee, along with their mentor Marie Brady, while novelty act group members were Orlaith Craig, Aimee Dolan, Adam McCarthy, Madison Canty, Rachel Lee, Elaine Casey, Cian Gilna and Aoife Lee, and their mentors Kevin Mollaghan and Sinead McCormack.
