Templemichael College
The body charged with the coordination of education in the Midlands have lodged plans with Longford County Council for the development of Templemichael College.
The Longford and Westmeath Education Training Board development will consist of a single-storey extension of two special needs classroom units to the west side of the school and a new stand alone two storey gym building to the west of the school.
The permission sought includes the removal of part of the existing boundary hedge and the existing trees from Templemichael Terrace and a new roadway and footpath to the school. The school hopes to relocate the existing soccer pitch.
Longford County Council planning department received the planning application at the start of the month and hope to have a decision by April 26, next.
