Granard Farmers Mart is the venue for a public information session relating to Ireland’s draft CAP Strategic Plan (CSP) for the period 2023-2027 tomorrow night (Thursday, February 3).
The information sessions will be facilitated by Agri consultant Paul Belton of Midland Agri Consultants.
Paul services a large area of the Midlands and North West as a Qualified Agriculture Consultant. Haling from Bunlahy Paul holds a range of relevant national agriculture qualifications.
The purpose of tomorrow's event is to provide information to farmers about the changes that will occur when the new CAP commences in 2023.
In particular, the information sessions will cover direct payments including entitlements, active farmer checks, agricultural activity and land eligibility changes, stocking rates, Eco-Schemes, details on the new Agri-Environmental Climate Measure (AECM), organic farming and other important information that farmers need to know now so they can best prepare for 2023.
The event takes place at Granard Farmers Mart tomorrow, Thursday, February 2, at 7pm. All new schemes will be discussed by several speakers on the night. Eamonn O'Reilly of AIB and Adam Woods of Irish Farmers Journal will be among the speakers.
