Caption: Congratulations to Longford's Seamus McGuire who has been named as the PRO of the Year in the 2022 LGFA Volunteer of the Year awards. The Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) awards scheme, in its sixth year, recognises winners across ten categories, and the winners, including Seamus, will be honoured at an awards ceremony, to be held at Croke Park on Friday, February 10. Seamus, who is currently Carrickedmond Ladies Club Chairperson, has been a wonderful games promotional officer for the ladies games across all clubs, club players and all county teams. Over a number of years, and particularly during 2022, Seamus submitted great profiles, previews and game reports to the 'Longford Leader', and used social media platforms to promote the fastest growing ladies team game within Longford and also at national level. Seamus is pictured with his daughter Lauren and wife Margaret McGuire at the Carrickedmond GAA / ladies club dinner dance last Saturday night. Picture: Frank McGrath
