Longford Leader General Election 2024 update: Longford candidate Dave Smyth has been eliminated

The poll from count 7

The seventh count has just taken place. This count saw the 884 votes of recently eliminated candidate Margaret Maguire distributed among the remaining hopefuls.

This time around we saw Dave Smyth knocked out of the running at 1047 votes which will now be distributed in the next count.

Robert Troy remains at the top of the remaining candidates. He received 25 votes in this count giving him a total of 8,549 votes.

Kevin Boxer Moran received a total of 98 votes leaving him close behind Troy with 8,456 votes currently.

Micheál Carrigy received 7 votes and now sits at a total of 7,604.

Sorca Clarke received 43 votes and now sees votes amounting to 7,126.

Joe Flaherty received 15 votes and still lags behind the former at 5,458.
