Those in attendance at Granard Mart gave us their thoughts on the general election
Des Denneny
Des Denneny spoke about what he’d like to see the next government improve and who he would and wouldn’t be voting for.
“The Pension, I have a few cattle and a bit of land and out of that they won’t give me a pension at 78 years old.
“But I have cut back on the cattle now very little cattle left, so I don’t have much to live on now.
We asked Des who he was thinking of voting for. Like many people at the moment, he was unsure about who he would be choosing
“I just don’t know, to tell you the truth. I don’t know.”
