“I don't think the working people get a chance. We have firefighters working that can’t get a mortgage.
They can’t get a mortgage because they’re not earning enough in the fire service, and they’re not earning enough in the council to get a council house.

"I’d like to see Joe Flaherty get in, I think he’s very excellent, in my eyes anyway.
And same for Peter Burke in Westmeath, they’d be my two candidates. I don’t go for each party I just go for the individual person.

"I was disappointed with the Leaders debate (with ten leaders involved) because it was all about the three parties.

“The other seven were completely ignored and none of them spoke the truth.

“My thing is I hope Sinn Féin don’t get in, they had no manifesto last night.

“They were literally waiting for the reports to come in so they can make up their own thing the next day.”
