Killoe registered their fifth consecutive win in Division 1 of the All County Football League this season in proving too strong for Clonguish who are currently without a manager after Andrew Kavanagh decided to vacate the post.

Killoe Emmet Og . . . 0-16       Clonguish . . . 1-7

Players Paul Barden and Kevin Burke are in temporary charge at the moment and while there was little separating the sides for most of the first half at Emmet Park on Friday night, slicker and sharper Killoe gradually pulled away to come out on top by the comfortable margin of six points in the finish.

The home side led by 0-7 to 0-4 at the break and while Clonguish (still without a victory in the league this season) were given a glimmer of hope with a goal from Joe O’Brien with eight minutes gone in the second half, Emmet Og quickly regained the upper hand to run out emphatic winners.

Particularly prominent for generally impressive Killoe were young guns Eamon Keogh and Cian Dooner who fired over eight points between them.
