Leinster v Connacht at Pearse Park next month

Leinster will take on Connaught in the Interprovincial semi-final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Sunday, February 17.

Leinster will take on Connaught in the Interprovincial semi-final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Sunday, February 17.

The match will be the highlight of a busy period for Pat Gilroy’s Leinster side, which also has two challenge matches scheduled over the next week.

Tomorrow night, Dublin will host a ‘Rest of Leinster’ side at Parnell Park, which will provide the perfect opportunity to run the rule over several players ahead of the Interprovincials, while also giving Dublin a chance to gain some vital game time ahead of their league campaign. Then on Friday, January 25, a Leinster selection will take on Meath at Páirc Tailteann in Navan.

Both challenge games start at 7.30pm and admission is free.

These games will allow Gilroy and his management team to monitor the performance levels of players in his own side and those of the opposition, as both Dublin and Meath will be making personnel available for the final Leinster Interprovincial selection that will take to the field to face Connacht in Longford.
