Conor Clarke back in charge of Longford Slashers

After surviving a relegation play-off situation in the 2025 senior football championship, Longford Slashers will be hoping for greater fortune this season.

Former Slashers ladies supremo Conor Clarke is back in charge of the men for a second year and his target will be a place in the quarter-finals in lifting the pressure away from the dreaded drop zone. 

Injuries certainly did not help the Slashers' cause last year, most notably the absence of long term casualties Tadhg McNevin and Sean Morgan, and things can only get better for the sky-blues manager Clarke.
