Inspired by the accurate shooting of Gerard Dennigan and Shane Bannon, Cashel came out on top against Ardagh Moydow in the Junior ‘C’ Football Championship Final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday.

Cashel . . . 1-11  Ardagh Moydow . . . 0-8

Midfielder Dennigan (winner of the player of the match award) and centre-half-forward Bannon accounted for the title winners' entire tally of 11 points with centre-half-back Padraig Farrell scoring the crucial goal midway through the first half.

That ‘green flag’ left the Cashel second string in a comfortable 1-6 to 0-3 lead at the break and while the Ardagh Moydow reserves tried hard to get back into contention on the changeover they were always fighting a losing battle.
