St Brigid’s Gaels Ardagh crushed the poor challenge of Laois opponents Crettyard in the opening round of the Leinster Club Junior competition at Keenan Park on Saturday last.

The slick Longford Intermediate champions, starting without the injured Maria Hayden, cruised to a very easy win and leading the charge was impressive midfielder Sian Gallagher who clocked up a total of 2-3 with all her scores coming from play.
Ardagh will now play St Brigid’s (Carlow) in the quarter-final in Hacketstown this Saturday (2pm) and will be hoping to make further progress in the provincial championship.
