Longford LGFA: Ardagh and Dromard finish all square in the county final

St. Brigid’s Gaels Ardagh and Dromard will have to do it all again after a titanic battle ended in a draw in the Droplink Ladies Intermediate Football Championship Final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday.  

St Brigid’s Gaels Ardagh . . . 2-8   Dromard . . . 1-11

Dromard’s hero substitute Orlaith McGauran sealed the draw for the North Longford side in landing a last gasp point in the 9th minute of additional time to send the title decider to a replay at Emmet Park, Killoe this Wednesday night (October 11) with a 7.45pm throw-in. 

Ardagh held a slender 2-3 to 1-5 lead at the break with Joanne Whyte scoring both goals while Ellen Murphy found the back of the net for Dromard.
