In the senior hurling championship, Wolfe Tones Mostrim are currently hit hard by a spate of injuries and thus made the difficult decision to concede the game against Longford Slashers in Round 1 of the group stage last weekend.

Wolfe Tones will get another chance in their quest to qualify for the county final when they take on the title holders Clonguish Gaels in Round 3 on Saturday August 19.

Clonguish and Slashers meet in the Round 2 fixture at C&D Devine Park, Edgeworthstown this Saturday evening, throw-in 7pm.
