The REVAMP 3R Store and (inset) Breda Murphy
A Longford woman was honoured at the Circular.ie Full Circle Awards held at the Aviva Stadium last week.
Breda Murphy, project manager at REVAMP 3R Store in Longford town, was a runner-up in the Best Community Campaign category, which shines a light on the best campaigns that circular economy community groups are running in Ireland.
Originally launched in 2000 as a youth training project, REVAMP 3Rstore has grown into a leading social enterprise in the Midlands.
Its workshops refurbish unwanted furniture and household goods for resale, while also offering customer repairs and bespoke finishes.
REVAMP’s innovation extends to projects like paint reuse, textile repairs, and food waste processing into soil enhancers.

With over 550,000kg of waste diverted from landfill since inception, the enterprise combines environmental impact, training opportunities, and affordable goods for the community.
This is the first year of the Full Circle Awards, which were created by Circular.ie to spotlight people and projects that demonstrate what circular living looks like.
They are designed to celebrate the big impact that individuals and communities throughout Ireland, including in Longford, are creating by making circular living part of their everyday lives in practical ways.
The event at the Aviva also celebrated the launch of Circular.ie — Ireland’s new national platform designed to help people in Longford reduce waste, get more from the things they already have, save money, and build thriving local communities through circular living.
