The death occurred, peacefully in the excellent care of the staff of Saint Joseph’s Ward, Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, December 16, 2022 of Padraig (Muller) O'Donohue, 14 Harbour Row, Longford Town, Longford, N39 P9K8. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Helen and his sister Patricia. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Mary, Ann, Evelyn and Barbara, brothers-in-law Seamus, Des and John, special nephew Robert and his wife Paula and son Jake, nieces Caroline, Laura, Jennifer, Megan and Caoimhe, nephew Aaron, cousins, girlfriend Elizabeth, relatives, good neighbours and many close friends. Rest In Peace. 
Reposing at his family home at No 14 Harbour Row (Eircode N39 P9K8) on Monday, December 19 from 5pm until 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning, December 20 to Saint Mel’s Cathedral for Funeral Mass at 11am, burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. House private on Tuesday morning, please.Family flowers only, please. The death occurred on Saturday, December 17, 2022 of John L FitzPatrick, 'Curracloe', Gelshagh, Ballinalee, Co Longford and late of Kilfenora, Co Clare, Palestine Police and WJ Graham Ltd, Mullingar. Beloved husband of Hilda (nee Goldsmith), father of George (Caroline), Cynthia Cleverdon (Mark), Gordon (Camilla) and Hazel Moorhead (Derek) and grandfather of Eoin, Adam, Daniel, Eric, Laura, Bryan and Annika. Also missed by his brother George, sister Nancy, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, the wider family circle, many friends and neighbours.
Funeral Service in St Thomas's Church, Aughnacliffe, Co Longford on Tuesday, December 20 at 1.30pm followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to St Thomas's Church, Aughnacliffe c/o Clive Magee Funeral Director or any family member. House strictly private at all times Please. The death occurred, in the long term loving care of the nurses and staff of Hazelwood Unit, Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford, on Friday, December 16, 2022 of Alice Walsh (née O'Donnell), late of Annaly Park, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by her husband Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving niece Mary Rogers, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.
Funeral Mass on Monday, December 19, in Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Chapel, Longford, at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

Tommy Doris, Lismore, Newtownforbes, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Inis Ree nursing home, Ballyleague, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 of Tommy Doris, Lismore, Newtownforbes, Longford. Pre- deceased by his parents Tom and Katie, sisters Elizabeth and Patsy Farrell and by his brother Frank. Tommy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sister-in-law Rosaleen, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, on Monday, December 19 from 5pm, concluding with prayers at 7pm. The death occurred, peacefully, at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 of Mary Henry (nee Bohan), Lisanedan, Ardagh, Co Longford. Sadly missed by her loving husband Tom, her daughter Geraldine and her son Shane, granddaughter Ella Rose, sisters Betty Shanley (Roosky) and Noleen Dowling (Ballintubber), her brothers Anthony and Frank (Roosky), nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Chapel, Ballinalee Road, Longford, on Saturday, December 17 from 3pm, with prayers at 6pm. Removal on Sunday, December 18 to St Brigid's Church, Ardagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. The death occurred, peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 of Evelyn Haughey (nee O'Brien), ‘Villa Pio’, Templemichael Glebe, Longford town. Predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick. Evelyn will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Deirdre Dalton, Anne-marie, Maeve and Martina Connolly, son Paul, sons-in-law Kieran and Bernie, sister Madge (Mamie), grandchildren Karla (and her husband Cormac), Sophie and Andrew, great-grandchildren Mia, Ben and Hugo, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred, peacefully, at Moycullen Nursing Home, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 of Seamus O'Gorman, D'Alton Place, Salthill, Galway/ Ballinamuck, Co Longford. Beloved husband of the late Margaret and much loved father of Mary, Jimmy, Niall, Vincent and Terry. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his daughter and sons and their partners, brother Vincent, brother-in-law Paddy, grandchildren, the extended O'Gorman and Heaney family, neighbours and friends

Thomas (Tommy) McGuckian, Killahurk, Carrigallen, Leitrim


The death occurred, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital in the care of the wonderful staff, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, December 17, 2022 of Thomas (Tommy) McGuckian, Killahurk, and formerly Main Street, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim (ex Publican). Tommy will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Maura, son Colm (New York) daughters Caitriona, Caroline, Deirdre, and Imelda, sister Beatrice (New York), daughter-in-law Susan, sons-in-law Graham, John, Frankie and Paul, adored grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. May his Gentle soul Rest In Peace.
Thomas will be reposing at his residence on Sunday, December 18 from 5pm until 8pm and on Monday, December 19 from 5pm until 8pm. House private at all other times please. Removal from his residence on Tuesday morning, December 20 to arrive at St Mary's Church, Carrigallen for funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
