Deaths in Longford - Wednesday, November 7, 2018 - evening

James Murphy, Gaigue, Ballinamuck, Longford
The death occurred on Thursday, November 1 of James Murphy, Gaigue, Ballinamuck, Longford and London, England. James will be deeply missed and remembered with love by his father Maurice, mother Tess, sisters Nuala, Jenny and Rachel,brothers-in-law Martin and Jon, aunt and uncles, nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his residence on Friday evening November 9 from 4pm to 8pm with removal on Saturday morning November 10 to St Patrick's Church, Ballinamuck arriving for 12 noon Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Ballinamuck New Cemetery. House private at all other times please.

Noel Hanlon, Capetown, South Africa & Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, November 3 of Noel Hanlon, Capetown, South Africa & Longford.
Predeceased by his parents, sister Maureen and brother Fr Joe. Noel will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family sons Patrick and Robert, daughters Jennifer, Elaine, Louise, Anne, Nuala, Maria and Emma, sister Anne, brothers Oliver and Fr Francis, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
There will be an opportunity to offer condolences to the family on Monday, November 12 at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford between 6pm and 9pm, concluding with prayers at 9pm. Mass of the Resurrection at 11am on Tuesday, November 13 in St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford followed by interment of ashes in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

Marcella Hunt (née Kelly), Cluntymullen, Legan, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully, in Mullingar General Hospital on Monday, November 5 of Marcella Hunt (nee Kelly), Cluntymullen, Legan, Longford.
Predeceased by her husband Peter and daughter Margaret. Deeply regretted by her sons Joe, Paddy, Pete, Brian, John, Martin, Jim, Gerard and Mick. Her sister Bridget (Piggott) and brother Bill Kelly. Grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at her home on Wednesday, November 7 from 4pm until 8pm. Funeral mass on Thursday, November 8 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Legan with burial afterwards in Rathaspic cemetery. House private on Thursday morning please.

Hazel Armstrong, Balally Grove, Dundrum, Dublin / Ballinalee, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully, at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, following a long illness bravely borne, on Monday November 5 of Hazel Armstrong of Balally Grove, Dundrum, Dublin 14 and formerly of Currygrane, Ballinalee, Co Longford.
Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Anna Armstrong and dearly loved sister of Doug; she will be greatly missed by all her family and wide circle of friends.
Funeral and Service of Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 8 at 11.30am in Christ Church Taney, Taney Road, Dundrum followed by burial in St Nahi’s Churchyard, Dundrum. There will be a retiring collection for St Nahi’s Restoration Fund. “In heavenly love abiding.”

Kathleen Keegan (née Brady), Brucehall, Gurteen, Arva, Cavan
The death occurred, suddenly, at her residence, on Monday, November 5 of Kathleen Keegan (nee Brady), Brucehall, Gurteen, Arva, Co Cavan. Kathleen, beloved wife of Brian. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband Brian, son Garry and his partner Dominica, daughter Amy and her partner Kevin, mother Elizabeth Brady, mother-in-law Mona, brother Paddy, sisters Helen, Bernie and Pauline, adored grandchildren Penelope and Chaolette, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at her home on Wednesday, November 7 from 2pm until 5pm. Removal on Wednesday arriving at the Church of The Sacred Heart, Arva, at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning November 8 at 11am. Burial afterwards in Coronea Cemetery.

Mary ‘Moll’ Regan (née Nea), Dromone, Oldcastle, Meath / Castlepollard, Westmeath
The death occurred, peacefully, at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, November 6 of Mary ‘Moll’ Regan (formerly Nea) of Dromone, Oldcastle, Co Meath and late of Freaghmore, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath.
Sadly missed by her daughters Anne and Sheila, son-in-law Michael, her grandchildren Anita and Alan, and his wife Audrey; sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Mary rest in peace.
Reposing at her daughter Sheila’s home in Dromone on Wednesday, November 7 from 2pm to 5pm, followed by removal to St Michael’s Church, Castlepollard, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 8 at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Castlepollard.
