Deaths in Longford - December 15, 2016

Irene Collum (née O'Neill), Lettergullion, Ballinamuck, Co Longford

The recent death has occurred on Monday, December 12 of Irene Collum (nee O'Neill), Lettergullion, Ballinamuck, Co Longford, peacefully at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.
Predeceased by her son Declan. Deeply regretted by her family Michael, daughters Michelle & Caroline, son John, brother Patrick, sisters Anne, Elizabeth, Marie & Margaret, sons-in-law Trevor Quinn & Nigel Connell, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.
Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 15 in St Patrick’s Church Ballinamuck at 1pm followed by burial in Ballinamuck New Cemetery. As a mark of respect Village Flowers, Drumlish will remained closed until Friday.


Patrick (Pat) Coyle, Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon / Cavan
The recent death has occurred, peacefully in Miami, on Thursday, December 8 of Patrick (Pat) Coyle Miami, Florida and Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon. Deeply mourned by his loving wife Mary (née Gallagher), son Michael, daughter Renee, brother, sisters, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Patrick will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Thursday evening, December 15 from 5pm with removal at 6.45pm to St Nathy's Cathedral, arriving at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday morning, December 16 at 11am, followed by interment in Kilcolman Cemetery.

Dan Joe Daly, Dromagh, Cork / Leitrim
The recent death has occurred on Sunday November 27 of Dan Joe Daly, Dromagh, Mallow & San Francisco , formerly of Dysart, peacefully in the presence of his family.
Beloved husband of Margaret (nee McCaffrey, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim), dear father of Conor & Brendan and loving brother of Pat, Michael, Breda (McCarthy), Eileen (O'Flynn), Kathleen (Collins), John & the late Matt. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, family, mother-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand nephew, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral took place in San Francisco. Memorial Mass in St John's Church, Dromagh on Friday, December 16, at 7.30pm. May he rest in peace.

John Henry Duke, Aughavore, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim
The recent death has occurred on Monday, December 12 of John Henry Duke, Aughavore, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim, peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family.
Sadly missed by his wife Eva, sons Ronald and Derek daughter Shirley, grandchildren, son-in-law Pat, daughters-in-law Marian and Elaine, brothers Eric and Alexandra, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends. Rest in peace.
Resting at his residence on Thursday, December 15 until 11am. Removal to Carrigallen Church of Ireland on Thursday, December 15 arriving at 1.30pm for funeral service. Family flowers only donations in lieu to Carrigallen Church of Ireland Repair Fund C/o the funeral Director or any family member.


Mick Joe Kelly, Cammagh, Moyne, Co Longford
The recent death has occurred on Friday, November 25 of Mick Joe Kelly, Cammagh, Moyne, Co Longford in London.

The recent death has occurred on Wednesday, December 14 of  Sr Brendan Kenny, Convent of Mercy, Kells, Co Meath and formerly Fermoyle, Lanesboro, Co Longford, peacefully at Millbury Nursing Home, Navan.
Deeply regretted by her Mercy Community, her brother Fr Tadhg Kenny SM, her nieces, nephews,extended family and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at the Convent of Mercy chapel, Kells on Friday, December 16 from 3pm until 6.30pm. Removal on Saturday morning, December 17, prayers starting at 11am and arriving St Colmcille's Church, Kells for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St Colmcille's cemetery, Kells. In iothlainn De go geastar sinn.

John McCabe, Drumbore, Cloone, Co Leitrim
The recent death has occurred on Wednesday, December 14 of John McCabe, Drumbore, Cloone, Co Leitrim, peacefully at Arus Carolan, Nursing Home Mohill.
Predeceased by his brother Bernie, sisters; Mary Kate, Maggie, Sarah Ann and Bridget. Sadly missed by his sister Tess, brother Michael, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he Rest in Peace.
Remains reposing at Arus Carolan, Nursing Home, Mohill on Friday, December 16 from 4pm - 6pm with removal to arrive at St Mary's Church, Cloone at 7pm. Funeral mass on Saturday at 11am with burial afterwards to the local cemetery.


James Small, Crewe, England and formerly of Colmcille Terrace, Granard, Co Longford
The recent death has occurred on Friday December 2 of James Small, Crewe, England and formerly of Colmcille Terrace, Granard, Co Longford, peacefully.
Predeceased by his parents Kevin and Mary. James will be sadly missed by his wife Bridget (nee Ward), daughter Korina, sons Kevin, James and Declan, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his friends in Ireland and in England. May James forever Rest In Peace.
