Susan Reilly (née Kelleher), Rosduff, Moyne, Co Longford / Arva, Co Cavan / Aughavas, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 16, 2026 of Susan Reilly (née Kelleher), Rosduff, Moyne, Co Longford and formerly of Drumbinnish, Aughavas, Co Leitrim. 

Predeceased by her husband Johnny Reilly, brother Luke, her parents Michael, and Mary Alice Kelleher. Beloved and devoted mother of Padraig and Martin.

Sadly missed by her loving sons, sister Mary Jo Prunty and brother Mel, brothers-in-law Anthony and Gerard, sisters-in-law Mary, Susan, Philomena, Martina, Margaret, and Josephine, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and a wide circle of friends. May She Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Lakeland’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road Cavan (H12RF78) on Wednesday March 18 from 8pm until 9.30pm. Requiem Mass at 11am in the Sacred Heart Church, Arva on Thursday, March 19 with interment afterwards in Legga Cemetery. House private please.

John Burns, Loch Gowna, Co Cavan / Abbeylara, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 of John Burns, Gowna, Co Cavan and formerly of Kilbride, Abbeylara, Co Longford.

Predeceased by his brothers Willie, Charlie, Terry, Joe, Jimmy and Tommy and his niece Kathleen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Christine (New York), sisters in law Brigie, Teresa and Pat, nephews; Charlie, Tommy, Liam and Tom, nieces; Mary, Catherine, Josie, Patricia and Eileen, his adored grand nieces and grandnephews, great friends and neighbours. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown (N39 VR04) on Thursday, March 19 from 5pm with prayers at 6.45pm. Removal to the Church Of The Holy Family, Loch Gowna (H12FT54) arriving at 8pm. His Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 20 at 11am followed by burial in Granardkille New Cemetery, Granardkille, Granard, Co. Longford.

Jim Mulligan, Enaghan, Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the care of the staff at Mullingar Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 15, 2026 of Jim Mulligan, Enaghan, Aughnacliffe, Longford. 

Predeceased by his sister's Brigid and Margaret and his brother Larry. Jim will be sadly missed by his brother Phil, sister in law Nora, his nieces, nephews and their spouses, his grandnieces and grandnephews, great neighbours and a large circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

Jim will repose at Lakelands Funeral Home, Cavan (H12RF78) on Tuesday, March 17 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. His Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday, March 18 at 11am in the Church of the Holy Family, Loch Gowna (H12FT54) with burial afterwards in the new section of the old cemetery.

Joe Donlon, Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Roscommon / Charlestown, Mayo

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at the Orthopaedic unit of Mayo University Hospital on Thursday, March 12, 2026 of Joe Donlon, Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Roscommon / Charlestown, Mayoy. 

Predeceased by his parents Tim and Mary and brother Timmy. Sadly missed by his loving family wife Maureen (nee Finn), sons Enda, Niall, Shane, daughter Lorraine, brother Gerry, sisters Mary and Ann, Grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, his seven stepchildren and fourteen grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace .

Joe will repose at the Horkan funeral home (F12D393) Charlestown on Monday evening, March 16 from 5pm to 6.30pm and will repose at his home in Ballyleague on Tuesday evening, March 17 from 5pm to 8pm. Removal from his home in Ballyleague on Wednesday morning, March 18 to the Church of the Holy Rosary for funeral mass at 11am followed by private cremation. Mass can be viewed HERE

 

Kathleen Garry (née Keaney), Drumhawragh, Loughduff, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff of Lisdarn Unit Cavan on Saturday, March 14, 2026 of Kathleen Garry (née Keaney), Drumhawragh, Loughduff, Co Cavan. 

Kathleen will be very sadly missed by her husband and best friend John Joe, sons James, Johnny, Benny and Shane, daughters Mary and Denise, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren Paige, Jayden, Lilly, Aoife and Orlaith, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Lakeland’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan H12RF78 on Wednesday, March 18 from 5.30pm until 7.30pm. A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held on Thursday, March 19 at 11am in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan. All welcome to call to Lakeland’s Funeral Home from 10.30am. Followed by cremation.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Patient comfort fund of the Lisdarn Unit c/o Finnegan Funeral Directors or any family member. The Garry family would like to acknowledge their appreciation for the excellent care given to Kathleen at her time in Lisdarn Cavan.

Larry Cadden, Drumhowna, M. C. Motor Factors, Loughduff, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his his loving family and in the kind and compassionate care of the staff at the Mater Hospital Dublin, after an illness bravely fought on Saturday, March 14, 2026 of Larry Cadden, Drumhowna, M. C. Motor Factors, Loughduff, Cavan. 

Predeceased by his parents Dominick and Rose and his siblings, John, Mary and Noel. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Mairead, devoted father to Larry (Fiona), Dominic (Aoife), Valene (Darragh), Lauren (Nathan), Sean (Lauren), and grandfather to Loughlin, sisters Ann Smith (Ballinagh), and Bridie (Jack) York (Moydow), brothers Paddy, Dominick (Gay), Gerry (Mary), Jim (Maura) and Martin. brothers in law, sisters in law. He will be fondly remembered by cousins nieces, nephews, grand nephews, grandnieces, close friends and neighbours.

Reposed at Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy (N39W1D6) on Tuesday evening, March 17 from 5pm to 8pm. Family break from 6.15pm to 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 18 at 11am in St Joseph's Church, Loughduff (H12F968) Mass will be livestreamed HERE. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Lewis (Louie) Crowe, Gortletteragh, Co Leitrim

The death occurred in the loving care of staff at Arus Carolan nursing home on Sunday, March 15, 2026 of Lewis (Louie) Crowe, Gortletteragh, Mohill, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased by his parents Molly and John. Lewis will be sadly missed by his sister Eva, nephews, cousins, extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends. 

Lewis will repose in St Mary's Parish Church, Mohill (N41W2V8) on Wednesday, March 18 from 6pm to 7pm. Funeral Service on Thursday, March 19 at 1pm in St Mary's Church, Mohill followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to The Arus Carolan patient comfort fund. Lewis’s family would like to thank you for your understanding and kindness at this sad time. "Safe in the arms of Jesus".

Martina McNulty (née O’Rourke), Kenagh, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 1, 2026 of Martina McNulty (nee O’Rourke), Richmond, Surrey, UK and formerly of The Abbey, Kenagh, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her parents Jack and Maeve O’Rourke and her brothers Dermott and Donal. Martina will be deeply missed by her husband David and her children Sonya, Elisa, Natalie, Lucy and Tim, her siblings Pat and Maeve and her many grandchildren. Martina was a dearly beloved member of her family and will be much missed by many.

Martina will lie in repose at her home in Richmond from 6 to 8pm on Monday, March 23. Martina’s Funeral will be held at St. Elizabeth of Portugal Church at 11am on Tuesday, March 24.

Noel (Michael) McKiernan, Owen Roe Terrace, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 of Noel (Michael) McKiernan, Rugeley Staffordshire UK and formerly of Owen Roe Terrace, Cavan.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret, infant daughter Marie, parents James and Maisie and brothers Jim (Australia) and Mattie (UK). 

Noel is survived by his sons Martin (Carolyn) and son William, Colin (Michelle) and sons Gary and Terry, all UK.

Sisters Rosaleen Callaghan (Newport, Co. Mayo), Maura Walsh (Granard, Co. Longford), Dympna Molloy, (Swellan Cavan), Una Graham (Glenlara Cavan) and Seán (Drumcrave, Cavan). Sisters-in-law Jean McKiernan (Australia) Jackie Mc Kiernan (Australia) and Mary Mc Kiernan (UK), his adored nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Noel's Requiem Mass will be on Thursday,  April 9 in St. Joseph's Church, Rugeley, Staffordshire WS15 2EH followed by cremation at Stafford Crematorium ST16 3AQ. "Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam".
