The death occurred peacefully but suddenly at his residence in the company of his loving family on Sunday, December 7, 2025 of Oliver Whelan, Moigh, Ballymahon, Longford.
Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Annie and brother Laurence. He will be forever missed by his heartbroken wife Helen, daughter Yvonne and partner Ivan, cherished granddaughter Ella, sisters Veronica (Michael) and Marie (Charlie), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Oliver will repose at his residence, N39 TP48, on Wednesday, December 10 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass is on Thursday, December 11 at 12 noon in St Matthew's Church, Ballymahon, N39 T1D9. Following Mass, Oliver will be laid to rest in Shrule Cemetery.

Reposing at her home in Fostra, Aughnacliffe (N39 K4V2), on Tuesday, December 9 from 3pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. The family will take a break from 6pm until 6.20pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, December 10 in St Colmcille’s Church, Aughnacliffe (N39 K603) at 12noon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
