The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home on Monday, November 10, 2025 of Ita Donlon (Nee Davis), Viewmount, Dublin Road, Longford. 

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Lal and by her cherished daughter Ursula. Ita will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughter Orla, sons Laurence and Niall, sister Cait (Ohio, U.S.A.), daughter-in-law Joan, Larry’s partner Manja, Orla’s partner Paul, grandchildren Caoimhe, Eva and Grace, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Thursday November 13 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, November 14 at 11am, in St. Mel’s Cathedral at 11.00am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live HERE.

Kathleen Hand (née Briody), Cullinmore, Dring, Longford, N39NY39

The death occurred peacefully, at her son and daughter in laws residence (Jimmy and Geraldine) on Monday, November 10, 2025 of Kathleen Hand (nee Briody), Cullinmore, Dring, Co Longford and formerly of Moynagh, Finea.  

Predeceased by her loving husband Tim, parents Michael and Bridget, brothers Paul, Bill and Michael. Sadly missed by her loving family son Jimmy, daughters Shelagh, Breda, Maureen and Lil, daughter in law Geraldine, sons in law Larry, Seamus and Seam, her adoring grandchildren Dr. Clodagh, Aodhán, Dáire, Caoimhe, Gearóid and Orlaith, sister in law Kathleen, niece and nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends. Reposing at Jimmy and Geraldine's residence Eircode N39NY39 on Wednesday evening, November 12 from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 13 at 12 noon in St Columba's Church, Mullinalaghta, Co Longford N39EY17 with burial immediately afterwards in the local cemetery.

Ann Madden (née Curwin), Cloonellan, Drumlish, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 9, 2025 of Ann Madden (nee Curwin) Cloonellan, Drumlish, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her daughter Chantelle, uncles Hughie and Jack McGuire. Sadly missed by her husband Donal, daughter Amber, step children Sam, Rachel, Hayleigh and Daniel, grandchildren Jaden and Kody, sisters Breege (McGee), Patricia, Claire, Bernie (McNally) and Samantha, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Longford (N39 EC81) on Wednesday evening, November 12 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. The death occurred peacefully at home on Friday, November 7, 2025 of Barry Fayne, Cullentra, Newtowncashel, Longford. 

Pre-deceased by his father John and by his sisters Sarah and Mona. Barry will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved mother Mary, sisters Lisa and Aisling, aunts, uncles, relatives, cousins, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff in Belmont Nursing Home and surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 9, 2025 of Mary O’Brien (née Higgins), College Park, Longford and formerly of Charlestown, Co Mayo.

Predeceased by her infant daughter Ann and her parents Martin and Margaret Higgins. Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Francis (Frank), sons John, Aidan, Kevin, Paul and Ciarán, daughters-in-law Antoinette, Gráinne and Bríd, treasured grandchildren Annie, Orlagh, Grace, Eimear, Anton, Aoife, Andrei, James, Natalia, Adam, Daniel and Amy, her sister Attracta, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends. Removal on Friday morning, November 14 to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan, D14 KP60 for Mass of the Resurrection at 10am followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery. Catriona Hanly, Parkowen, Strokestown, Roscommon / Dublin

The death occurred peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025 of Catriona Hanly, Parkowen, Strokestown, Roscommon / Dublin,

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her heartbroken family. Beloved daughter of Bertie and Imelda, cherished sister of Alan, Marcus, Enda and Tara, sisters in law Olga, Linda and Sinead, brother in law Neil. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends in Ireland and around the world.

Catriona will repose at the family home in Parkowen, Strokestown, on Wednesday, November 12 from 4pm until 8pm. Removal to Kiltrustan Church on Thursday, November 13 to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Strokestown Cemetery. May She Rest In Peace.

Mal Brady, Dublin Road, Ballinagh, Co Cavan

The death occurred peacefully in Hayes on Saturday, October 25, 2025 of Mal Brady, Hillington, Uxbridge, U.K and late of Bradys Pub, Dublin Road, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. 

Sadly missed by his loving wife Bernie, son Adrian, daughter Catherine, his adored grandchildren Sam, Louis, Jack, Olivia and Kieran, son in law, daughter in law, brothers Seamus and Willie, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

The death occurred on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 of Sean Burke, Lisroyne Oaks, Strokestown, Roscommon and formerly of Glasnevin & Chapelizod, Co Dublin.

Christina Tiernan, Dublin 8, Dublin / Drumreilly, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully, in the tender and loving care of the doctors, nurses, and staff of St. James' Hospital, Dublin on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 of Christina Tiernan, St. Patrick's St, Dublin 8, formerly Lower Drumreilly, Co Leitrim. 

Devoted daughter of the late Brigid and Joe, sister of the late Pat, Gerard and Anna and nephew Fran. She will be very sadly missed by her dearly beloved sisters Rose and Patricia, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Rest in peace.

The death occurred in his 81st year peacefully after a long illness bravely borne in the wonderful care of the staff at Milford Care Centre on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 of Peter Gilleran, 4 Barrack Court, Barrack Street, Ennis, County Clare and formerly of Lissoy, Glasson, County Westmeath and Sarasota, Florida.

 Predeceased by his sisters Anne Wall (Ballymaley, Ennis), Bridget Hussey (Canada) infant sisters Elizabeth, Agnes and Margaret and his brothers Joe, Jim and Tom (Lissoy). Will be missed and remembered by his sister Teresa Aylott (London), his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends in Ireland, England, Canada and the USA.

Reposing at Daly’s Mortuary Chapel, Francis Street, Ennis on Friday, November, 14 from 6pm to 7pm. Arriving at the Cathedral, Ennis, on Saturday, November 15 for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in Drumcliffe Cemetery. May he rest in peace.
