Patrick Farrell, Derrygeel, Lanesboro, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 27, 2025 of Patrick Farrell, Derrygeel, Lanesboro, Longford. 

Predeceased by his wife Pamela, his son Ciarán and his sister Sr. Mary. Sadly missed by his loving sons Martin, Paul, Colm and Damien, his sisters Dympna (Ballinteer, Dublin), his brothers John (Newtowncashel) and Michael (Clondra), nieces, nephews, his six grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, neighbours, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) Longford, on Wednesday, October 29 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection in St Mary's Church, Lanesboro at 11am on Thursday, October 30 followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium at 2.30pm. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live HERE. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society care of Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member. House private please.

Mary Theresa Farrell (née Kilemade), Bohalis, Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon / Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her family at Sonas Nursing Home, Knock on Sunday, October 26, 2025 of Mary Theresa Farrell (née Kilemade), Bohalis, Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon / Longford. 

Reunited with her beloved brother Sean Kilemade and her parents John and Margaret (Peggy) Kilemade. Mary will be deeply missed by her husband Tom, her sons Thomas and Martin, her daughters Nicola, Aisling, Emma & Claire, grandkids Joseph, Roisín, Kate, Dylan, Ellen & Ava, brothers Michael & Peter and by her sisters, Edel, Ann and Rita, relatives and friends. May She Rest In Peace.

Mary will lie in repose in The Kilgarriff Funeral Home Ballaghadereen, Tuesday evening, October 28 from 5pm to conclude with evening prayers at 7pm. Funeral will arrive to the Cathedral of the Annunciation and St Nathy Ballaghaderren, Wednesday, October 29 for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Funeral Mass can be viewed live HERE. Burial afterwards in Kilcolman Cemetery.

Eileen Gilchriest, Carrickmoira, Newtownforbes, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of St Joseph's Hospital, Dublin Road, Longford on Sunday, October 26, 2025 of Eileen Gilchriest, Carrickmoira, Newtownforbes, Longford. Reunited with her beloved daughter Teresa Igoe, granddaughter Corinne, parents and brothers Frank, Tommy, Willie, Robbie, Jimmy and Christy.

Eileen will be sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law Sean, grandchildren Raymond and his wife Noelle, Elaine and her husband Cian Dolan, great-grandchildren Liam and Cara Igoe, Fiadh Dolan, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and dear friends. Beautiful memories will be treasured ever, Of the happy days when we were together. Rest in Peace Eileen.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford N39 KN66 on Monday, October 27 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7pm.

Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, Newtownforbes on Tuesday, October 28 at 11am. Following Mass, Eileen will be laid to rest in the family plot in the local cemetery. Mass can be viewed live HERE.

Patricia (Patsy) McGivney (née Lynch), Cloonagh, Dring, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at her residence, in her 96th year surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 26, 2025 of Patricia (Patsy) McGivney (née Lynch), Cloonagh, Dring, Longford and formerly Carnagh, Mullahoran, Co Cavan. 

Predeceased by her loving husband Jimmy, her parents Peter and Margaret Lynch, her sisters Agnes, Peggy and Anna, her daughter in law Brid and granddaughter Siannoin. Deeply regretted by her loving children Eilis McKeon (Tommy), Johnny (Brid, deceased), N.Y., Peter (Marie), Brian, Mairead, Adele O'Reilly (Malachy), Noel (Debbie),Sydney, and her grandchildren James (Sinéad), Evelyn, Jenny, David, Owen, Elaine, James, Yen, Niamh, Tien, Clara and Cormac. Also, her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May Patsy Rest in Peace

Reposing in St Columba's Church, Mullinalaghta, N39EY17 on Monday evening, October 27 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning, October 28 at 12 noon with burial immediately afterwards in the local cemetery.

Timmie Beirne, Cloone, Leitrim

The death occurred unexpectedly but peacefully at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 25, 2025 of Timmie Beirne, Cloone, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim and formerly of Cornagher, Cloone, Co Leitrim, Director of Modular Panel Systems, Mohill. 

Predeceased by his father; Patrick and his mother; Kate. Loving husband of Bernadette and loving father of Genevieve Cox (Gene, Annaduff), Dianne McNabola (Tom, Dromod), Jolene McCormack (Jim, Cloone) and Bernadette Boyle (Kieran, Carrick-on-Shannon). Sadly missed by his family, his brothers; Jim and Pat (Kilcock), sisters; Anna McKeon (Longford), Alice Frawley and Mary Beirne (Pearl River, New York). Loving grandad to his adored grandchildren; Jamie, Alanah, Kayla, Darren, Nathan, Robyn, Holly, April, Noah, Willow and Donnacha. Fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, work colleagues, neighbours and a large circle of friends. May Timmie Rest in Peace.

Timmie will repose at his home in Cloone (Eircode N41 DV22) on Tuesday, October 28 from 4pm – 8pm. (Please note there will be a 15-minute break at 6pm). Requiem Mass for Timmie will take place in St Mary’s Church Cloone (Eircode N41 V009) on Wednesday, October 29 at 12 noon followed by burial to the adjoining cemetery. Timmie’s Funeral Mass will be streamed live HEREFamily flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association c/o McKeons’ Funeral Directors Cloone or any family member. House strictly private to family, friends and neighbours outside of reposing times please. The Beirne family very much appreciate your support at this very difficult time.

Sheila O'Neill, (née Duffy), Archers Crescent, Loughboy, Kilkenny / Ballinalee, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, at St Luke's Hospital on Saturday, October 25, 2025 of Sheila O'Neill (nee Duffy), Archers Crescent, Loughboy, Kilkenny and formerly of Currygrane, Ballinalee, Co Longford. 

Beloved wife of the late John and much loved mother of Annette and Shaun. Sheila will be dearly missed by her loving family, brothers Jim, Brendan, Vincent, Kevin, Oliver and Frank, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Sheila is also predeceased by her sister Alice and brothers Sean, Joseph, Michael and Patrick.

The family would like to thank in a special way all at Tinnypark Nursing Home for the care and kindness shown to Sheila during her time with them. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace. 

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Wednesday, October 29 from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary and Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, October 30 at 12noon in St Fiacre's Church, Loughboy. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery. House is private please. Eileen Josephine Fitzpatrick (née Kane), Booterstown, Dublin / Moyne, Longford / Carnew, Wicklow

The death occurred peacefully at Newbridge Nursing Home, Mullingar on Sunday, October 12, 2025 of Eileen Josephine Fitzpatrick (née Kane), St Helen’s Road, Booterstown, Dublin & London and formerly Fyhora, Moyne, Co Longford.  

Loving wife of the late Kevin, sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in peace. 

Eileen will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Carnew, Co Wicklow (Y14EK24) from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, October 28. Removal to St Brigid’s Church, Tomacork on Wednesday, October 29 arriving for 2.30pm Funeral Mass followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
