Patrick (Pat) Patridge, Terlicken, Ballymahon, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of all the staff of Thomond Lodge, Ballymahon on Thursday, September 11, 2025 of Patrick (Pat) Patridge, Terlicken, Ballymahon, Co Longford.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy (Patrick) and Margaret, his aunt Sr Bernadette, and his mother-in-law Nellie (Ellen) Murray. Patrick will be sadly missed & always remembered with love by his loving wife Sheila (née Murray), daughter Lorraine (Corcoran, Mayo), son Patrick Jnr., son-in-law Aiden, cherished grandchildren Keela, Dylan & Clodagh, sisters Maureen (McCarthy, Renmore, Galway) & Margaret (Dooner, Kilcommack, Kenagh), all his sisters-in-law, & brothers-in-law, nieces & nephews, relatives, extended family, neighbours, former BNM colleagues, and many friends. A proud farmer and Bord na Móna man all his life, Patrick will be fondly remembered for his love of the land and his great affection for dogs especially his beloved Billy.

Reposing at St Matthew’s Church, Ballymahon (N39 T1D9) on Sunday, September 14 from 4pm until 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, September 15 at 11am, followed by burial in Shrule cemetery. May he rest in peace.Forever loved, forever remembered. House strictly private please.

Bridget Hanley (née Henry), Castlerea, Roscommon / Longford / Bornacoola, Leitrim / Mayo

The death occurred tragically on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 of Bridget Hanley (née Henry) Castlerea, Co Roscommon formerly of Longford, Bornacoola, Co Leitrim and Bekan, Co Mayo.

Predeceased by her parents John and Mary, her brother Sean and her twin brother Michael. Sadly missed by her sons Kieran and Aidan, sisters Maureen and Rita, brother P.J., half-brothers and sisters, relatives, neighbours and many good friends. May She Rest in Peace.

Kevin Connolly, Fanamoreen, Glasson, Co Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully at home on Sunday, August 3, 2025 of Kevin Connolly California, USA and formerly of Fanamoreen, Glasson, Co Westmeath.

Predeceased by his parents Pat and Mary and his brother Brian. Sadly missed by his loving wife Dottie, son Kevin, daughter-in-law Leanne, his adoring grandchildren Quinn and Kieran, brother Pat, sisters Maureen (Ohlsen | New York, U.S.A.), Alice (Blagriff | Glasson, Westmeath) and Helen (Claffey | Rooan, Westmeath), in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. Funeral and Cremation will take place in California, USA. Burial of cremated ashes will take place in Tubberclair Cemetery on Sunday, September 21, 2025 after 11am Mass. The family greatly appreciates your sympathy and support at this very difficult time.

The death occurred peacefully at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 of Eddie Reilly, Owenmore Drive, Raheen, Limerick and formerly of Arva, Co Cavan, late of Golden Vale.

Beloved husband of Nora. Dearly loved father of Brian, Maurice, Siobhán and Áine. Sadly missed by his loving daughters-in-law Nora and Annette, sons-in-law Pio and Fergal, his adored grandchildren Grace, Jack, Saoirse, Brendan, Cian, Eoin, Nessa, Aoife, Donagh, Seán, Dáire and Leah, brother John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Reposing at St Nessan’s Church, Raheen on Friday, September 12 from 5.30pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday, September 13 at 11.30am followed by burial in Castlemungret Cemetery. On behalf of the entire Tannian and Czislowski family, we are bereft to announce the death of Seamus/James/Jimmy Tannian, Teffia Park, Longford and Queensland, Australia (October 5, 1944 - August 30, 2025), the day we thought and hoped would never come. Our family in Australia, Ireland, England, Spain, USA and the local Sunshine Coast, Queensland community has lost a bright light, radiant servant, leader, mentor, musician and friend. 

Eileen Sheppard (née Morgan), Bawnboy, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in Javea, Spain on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 of Eileen Sheppard (nee Morgan) Bawnboy, Cavan and Javea, Spain and formerly of Ealing, London.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Keith, her parents John and Eileen, and her brothers James, Richard, and Frank. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her brother Carl Morgan (Kells), her sister Anne McManus (Newtownforbes), the extended Sheppard family, her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbours.
