The death occurred  peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Cork University Hospital on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 of Eileen Hayes (nee Tighe), Casement Park, Clonakilty and late of Edgeworthstown, Co Longford.

Beloved wife of James, much loved mother of Stephen and Philip, adored nana to Poppy and Luke. Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters-in-law Sarah and Roxanne, grandchildren, sisters Mary and Kathleen, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest In Peace.

Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on Saturday, July 19 from 4pm to 5pm followed by Prayers. The death occurred  peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the team in Connolly Hospital on Wednesday July 16, 2025 of Dolores Grier (nee Tiernan), Pitchfordstown, Kilcock, Co Kildare and formerly of Farnaught PO Mohill, Co. Leitrim. 

Loving wife of James and adored Mother of Caroline (Ui Riordaín), Declan,Cathal and Aidan. Deeply regretted by her son in law Cillian and daughter in law Caroline, grandchildren Lauryn, Luke, Ava, Soirse, Ciara, Harry and Ella, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Dolores Rest in Peace.

Noel Holland, 7 Portrooske, Rooskey, Co Leitrim / Mullaghmore, Sligo / Cootehill, Cavan

The death occurred in his 93rd orbit peacefully at his home as per his wishes, surrounded by his loving family on  Thursday, July 17, 2025 of Noel Holland 7 Portrooske, Rooskey, Co Leitrim and formerly of Summershill, Mullaghmore, Co Sligo, and Monaghan Road, Cootehill, Co. Cavan.

Noel is predeceased by his brother Mick and son Paul. Noel is survived and will be greatly missed by his sister Aileen (America), his daughter Mary, grandsons Eddie & Jesse, nephews & nieces and extended family and a wide circle of friends. Rest in Peace.

He is reposing in his home at N41 V822 on Sunday, July 20 from 2pm to 6pm, house private at all other times please. His celebration of life will take place in Lakelands Crematorium on Monday, July 21 at 3pm, leaving his residence at 1pm. This is a celebration of a great life and as such we the family would ask you to wear bright colours to encapsulate the life that he had.

Beloved husband of Maura and cherished father of Shane, Annmarie and Conor. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Tommy. Beloved mother of Barry, Orla and Niamh, and devoted wife to Brian. James Cunningham, Killeveha, Cloone, Co Leitrim

The death occurred in Toronto, Canada, following a long illness borne with courage and good humour of James Cunningham, formerly of Killeveha, Cloone, Co Leitrim. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 63 years, his daughter, Jackie, son-in-law Joe, and grandchildren Ailish and Christopher, sisters Rose (Longford), and Patricia, Kells Co Meath, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nephews and nieces and friends.

He will join in heaven his beloved son Christopher, his parents Ellen, and Edward, sisters Eileen and Jane and brothers Eddie and John Tom.  James was a true and humble gentleman, with a great sense of humour and a story for every occasion. The death occurred peacefully at home in the tender care of her husband Christy, after an illness bravely fought, on Friday, July 11, 2025 of Violet McDonnell (nee Shorten), Ballynameagh, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath and formerly of Woodfield, Clonakilty, Co Cork and Toronto, Canada.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Bridget and her brothers Pat, Tom, Mike, James, John (Séan) and her sister Anne. Devoted wife to Les. Adoring mother to Carol and Gary. Loving sister to Gerry, Much loved mother in-law to Kevin and Sharon. Adored grandmother to Natalie, Rebecca, Shaun, Molly and Niall. Sorely missed by Great grandchildren and extended family, neighbours and friends. Bridie lived a life of love, fun and caring that touched so many people’s lives and we will all miss her deeply.
