The death occurred peacefully at Nyack Hospital, New York surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 1, 2025 of Sean V. Harte, (U.S. Veteran) Stony Point, Rockland County, New York and formerly of Cornakelly, Moyne, Co Longford and Killyvehy, Cloone, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Annie, infant daughter Margaret Ann, daughter-in-law Olivia Harte, nieces Delia Flaherty and Sheila McEvoy, his sister-in-law Dympna Harte and his brothers-in-law. Sean is survived by his wife Margaret, his beloved children John, Josephine and Maireád, his grandchildren Chloe, Colette, Ronan, J.J., Madison, Gavin and Eoin, his brothers P.J., Peter and Colm, his sisters Rita and Breege, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, his former colleagues at Con Edison, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. ​​​​​Sean's remains will repose at Glennons Funeral Home, Balinalee Road, Longford (Eircode N39 EC81) on Friday, May 9 from 7pm concluding with prayers at 8.45pm. Mass of the Resurrection to St Mary's Church, Cloone on Saturday, May 10 at 12 noon followed by burial to the adjoining cemetery. The death occurred peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 of Tom Duffy, Corrick, Moyne, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Tessie and by his brother-in-law Seamus. Tom will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sisters Ann (Dublin), Bridget Martin (Corrick) and Rose Corrigan (Drumlish), brother-in-law Pat, nieces Teresa, Antoinette, Patricia, Orla and Breda, nephew Kieran, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

Michael Kelly, Curry, Strokestown, Roscommon / Legan, Longford

The death occurred suddenly at the Galway Clinic on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 of Michael Kelly, Curry, Strokestown, Roscommon / Legan, Longford. Loving husband of Nora and much loved father of Deirdre and Eoin. Cherished Grandad of Seán, Aoife, Conor, Domhnall, Cormac and Páraic.

Michael will be sadly missed by his loving wife & family, son-in-law Alan, daughter-in-law Aileen, his sister Margaret & twin brother Joe, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Michael is predeceased by his parents, Joe & Elizabeth, his brother John, sisters Mary, Eilish and Bridget. Rest In Peace.

The death occurred peacefully in the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore on Monday, May 5, 2025 of Dominic (D.P.) Finnegan, Cloonagh, Dring, Co Longford, Retired Postmaster. 

Predeceased by his brother Patrick. Deeply regretted by his loving sister Moira, brother Martin, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Edgeworthstown N39 VR04 on Wednesday evening, May 7 at 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Mullinalaghta N39EY17 on Thursday, May 8 at 12 noon with burial immediately afterwards in the local cemetery. The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of the Cuin Suite at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Monday, May 5, 2025 of Mary McKeon (née McNally), Corboy, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford and formerly of Earl Street, Longford town. 

Pre-deceased by her parents Patrick and Bridget. Mary will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, her beloved husband John, daughters Jacinta, Bernadette, Siobhan, Patricia, Amanda, Eugenie, Anna-Marie and Evangeline, sons John and Patrick, her twenty two grandchildren, her two great-granddaughters , sister Rita, brothers Pat and Kieran, daughter-in-law Sharon, sons-in-law Sean, Padraig, Dessie, Phil, Barry and Joey, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Macken), much loved Father to Nicholas and Stephanie and Grandfather to Alexander and Aibhilín. Adored husband of Monica, dearly loved father of Norma. Ramona, Lassarina, Sabina and Padraig, father-in-law of Tom, grandfather of Jack and Kate, brother of Helen, brother-in-law of Willie. Also remembering his deceased parents Kathleen and Frank and his late sister Margaret. Sadly missed by his wife, children, sister, grandchildren, son-in -law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews. Ar Dheis Dé Go Raibh A Anam.

Pre-deceased by her husband John, parents Daniel and Elizabeth, brothers Sean and Donal, sisters Susan and Sr. Donal. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, sons John and Edward, daughters Hilary and Lesley, daughter-in-law Eimear, sons-in-law Declan and Vaughn, grandchildren John, Rose, Josh and Luke, sisters Kitty and Nancy, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Mairead and Marina, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many friends. James (Jimmy) Irwin, Brittas, Glasson, Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully at Beckett Nursing Home in Newport Pagnell UK on Monday, April 28, 2025 of James (Jimmy) Irwin, formerly of Brittas, Glasson Westmeath and residing in the UK.

Jimmy was predeceased by his wife Annette. He will be sadly missed by his sons Ralph and Andrew, daughter-in-law Jane, grandson Ashley, sister Bridie, brother Joe, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The funeral will take place on Thursday, May 29 at 12.30pm, at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Newport Pagnell, followed by burial for family members only. Family flowers only but donations can be made via www.hwmason.co.uk (funeral directors) to Alzheimer’s UK.

Patricia Peters (née Dooner), Rooskey, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully  in the presence of her loving family after an unexpected short illness, under the excellent care of the ICU staff at King’s College Hospital London on Friday, April 18, 2025 of Patricia Peters (née Dooner), Sevenoaks, Kent, UK and formerly Rooskey, Roscommon. 

Beloved wife of Alan and dear mother of Michelle and Chris, step-mother to David, sister to Seamus Dooner and cherished nana to Oliver, Daniel and Emily. Pat will also be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law and son-in-law and her dear cousins and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. May Pat rest in peace.

Funeral Mass will take place at St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 1ER, on June 5 at 2pm (live-stream available).
