Mary (Cissie) Larkin (née Rogers), Aughadowry, Ballinamuck, Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by the wonderful and caring staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford on Sunday, April 27, 2025 of Mary (Cissie) Larkin (née Rogers), Aughadowry, Ballinamuck, Longford and formerly of Aughakilmore, Ballinalee, Co. Longford.

Beloved wife of the late Hugh. Predeceased by her daughter Esther and brothers Eamonn and Michael. Cissie will be forever remembered with love by her children Patrick, Michael, Brendan, Bernie, Mary and Eugene. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Philomena, brother-in-law Eamonn, daughters-in-law Anne, Pauline, Deirdre and Fiona, son-in-law Kevin, her cherished grandchildren Katy, Emma, David, Mark, Ronan, Isabella, Rhia Mai, Adam, Finn and Oisin, extended family, neighbours and friends. May Cissie Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her home in Aughadowry, Ballinamuck (Eircode N39 H2P1) on Tuesday, April 29 from 3pm concluding with prayers at 8pm (with the family taking a 15 minute break at 5pm and 7pm). A shuttle bus will run from Gaigue Cross, with people of low mobility welcome to travel directly to the house. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 30 in St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck, arriving at 12 noon, followed by burial in Ballinamuck new cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, care of Dillon & Shepherd Funeral Directors, any family member or online by clicking HEREHouse Private on Wednesday morning, April 30 please.

Margaret Keneghan, Rath, Abbeyshrule, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in Sonas Nursing Home Ballyleague on Saturday, April 26, 2025 of Margaret Kenaghan, Rath, Abbeyshrule, Longford. Deeply regretted by her cousins, family and friends. Rest in Peace.

Margaret's funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, April 30 at 12 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Forgney, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Ann Brady (née Heaney) Doroc, Drumlish, Longford

The recent death has occurred  peacefully at the Regional Hospital Mullingar on Sunday, April 27, 2025 of Mary Ann Brady (nee Heaney) Doroc, Drumlish Co. Longford.Predeceased by her Father Bernie and Mother Bridget Heaney. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Willie, Sisters-in-law, Brothers- in-law, Nieces-in-law, Nephews-in-law, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home Chapel Edgeworthstown on Tuesday evening, April 29 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 30 at 12 noon in St Mary's, Ennybegs, followed by burial in Drumlish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to a charity of your choice care of Martin Farrell's Funeral Directors Ballinalee.

Stephen McTiernan, Ballinamore, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully in St Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 26, 2025 of Stephen McTiernan, Ballinamore, Leitrim.

Predeceased by his father P.J. Stephen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his adored daughter Katie, his heartbroken mother Mary, his sisters Laura, Elaine and Catherine, Katie’s mother Carol, his brothers-in-law, Seán, Terence and Richard, nieces and nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends in Ireland and Australia. House private please. May his gentle soul rest in peace.  

Reposing at Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore (N41TD62) on Tuesday evening, April 29 from 6pm until 8pm. Stephen's family would like to invite all those who would wish to join them in a Celebration of Life ceremony on Wednesday, April 30 in the Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan (H12RF78) at 1:30pm. Cremation will follow afterwards. House private please. Gerard Gormley, Kilbrackan, Carrigallen, Leitrim

The death occurred, suddenly in Bali, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 of Gerard Gormley, Kilbrackan, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim. Beloved son of Joe and Maureen (nee McManus). Predeceased by his aunt Rosie McHugh and his cousins Rosemary McGillycuddy and Baby Thomas McManus.

Gerard will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Joe and Maureen, his brothers Padraig (Cait) and Brian (Maggie), his nieces and nephews Kate, Darragh, Aoife and Ollie, his loving Fiancé Miya. His uncles Jackie (Margaret) McManus, Seamie (Helen) McManus and uncle in law Jimmy McHugh, all his cousins and wide circle of friends near and far. May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at Smiths funeral home, High Street, Ballinamore on Wednesday, April 30 from 6pm until 8pm. Eircode N41 TD62. Funeral mass will take place in St Mary's Church, Carrigallen on Thursday May 1 at 12 noon burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust c/o McGuckian Funeral Directors or any family member.
