The death occurred, peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 8 of Michael Lee, Soran, Ballinalee, Longford. 

Predeceased by his parents William and Margaret, his brother Paddy and brother-in-law Frank Coll. Michael will be forever missed and always remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife of 50 years Christine (Kathleen), daughters Tracy (Matt), Carol (Kevin) and Geraldine (Glenn), sons Jarlath (Orla) and Colm (Geraldine), his adored grandchildren Naomi, Aaron, Clodagh, Conor, Oisín, Lauren, Lukas and Lucia, sister Kathleen Browne and brother Noel (England), sisters-in-law Philomena and Marian, brothers-in-law John, Philip, PJ and Vincent, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and great friends.

We hold you close within our hearts, And there you shall remain, To walk with us throughout our lives, Until we meet again. Rest in peace Michael.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford N39 KN66, on Wednesday, April 9 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from his home on Thursday, April 10 to arrive to St Mary's Church, Ennybegs, N39 AH01 for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Funeral Mass can be viewed live HERE. Following Mass, Michael will be laid to rest in St Emer's Cemetery, Ballinalee. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Longford Alzheimer's Society c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. Family home private please.

Margaret White (née Brady), Carrig, Birr, Offaly / Tipperary / Edgeworthstown, Longford

The death occurred, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Esker Rí Nursing Home, Clara on Monday, April 7, 2025 of Margaret White (née Brady), Teallach de Faoite, Carrig Village, Birr, Co Offaly / Tipperary, and formerly of Aughafin, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret Brady and her nephew Michael Hughes. Sadly missed and forever cherished by her loving husband, Gerry, devoted daughters Geraldine (Nevin) and Jean, her adored grandchildren Gearóid, Croía and Síne, her brothers Philip (Edenderry), Pakie (Edgeworthstown) and sister Mary (Hughes, Killoe), son-in-law Tadhg, sisters-in-law, brother- in-law, nephews, nieces, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, neighbours, former colleagues from Ulster Bank and her wide circle of friends. May her gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her residence (R42VW96) on Wednesday evening, April 9 from 4pm to 8pm. Removal to the Church of the Annunciation, Carrig, on Thursday morning, April 10 at 10.30am for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Thursday morning, please.

Peter McStay, Crott, Moyne, Longford / Cavan

The death occurred, peacefully surrounded by his family in his 90th year, on Monday, April 7, 2025 of Peter McStay, Crott, Moyne, Co Longford and formerly of Crossdoney, Co Cavan.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Mary Ellen. Peter will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughters Mary Kelly (Drumlish), Belinda Gallagher (Keadue) and Noeleen Shekleton (Moyne), sons Brendan (Crott) and Colm (New York), daughters-in-law Veronica and Tracey, sons-in-law Pauric, Gabriel and Martin, grandchildren Kieran, Martin, Conor, Niall, Evan, Ronan, Ciara, Lauren, Aoife, Aine, Ryan, Ella, MJ, Jodi and Peter, great-grandchild Daisy, Kieran’s partner Sophie, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Friday, April 11 from 4.30pm concluding with prayers at 6pm. Removal to arrive at St Francis Xavier, Church Moyne (via Crott) for prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, April 12 at 11am, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Anna Flood (née O'Neill), Aughafin, Edgeworthstown, Longford, N39KP78 / Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Monday, April 7, 2025 of Anna Flood (nee O'Neill), Aughafin, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford,  N39KP78/ Leitrim. 

Predeceased by her beloved husband Pat and daughter Kathleen. Anna will be sadly missed by her daughter Sinéad, son's Pádraig, Seán and Dónal, her brother James, sisters May, Evelyn, Josephine and Kitty. Grandchildren Áine, Cáit, Eoin, Paddy and Cian, daughter-in-law Edel and son-in-law Séamus, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in peace.

The death occurred peacefully in the care of Castle Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 7, 2025 of Janice Beard (neé Chamberlain), Seangharraí, Ballinagh, Co Cavan.

Pre-deceased by her parents, brothers, sisters, and son in law William Kenny. Janice, beloved wife of Robbie and dear mother of Clinton (Debbie), Declan (Michelle), Tammy, Kieran (Christina), Shay (KellyAnn), Ruairi (Rosie), Sinead (William). The death occurred peacefully in Arkansas, America on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 of Michael Leddy, Marian Row, Ballinagh, Co Cavan.

Pre-deceased by his parents Peter and Kathleen, and brother Brendan. Beloved brother of Peter, Oliver, Seamus, Sean and Frank, sisters Bridie, Judy, Cait, Rose and Elizabeth. Sadly, missed by his loving brothers and sisters, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Benny, sisters, and brothers. Beloved mother of Bernard (Paula), Frank, Sharon (Stevie) and Michael (Charlotte). Adored grandchildren Lauren, Jake, Ciaran, Rachael, Luke, Sienna Rose, Christy, Alan and Samantha. Brigid (Bridie) Kearney (née Early), Aughavas, Leitrim / Ballina, Mayo

The death occurred peacefully in her 85th year, at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 6, 2025 of Brigid (Bridie) Kearney (née Early), Aughavas, Co Leitrim and formerly of Carrowtrasna, Carrowmore, Lacken, Ballina, Co Mayo.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary Kate Early. Sadly missed by her husband Jim, daughters; Teresa, Caroline (Martin), Ann (Padraig), sons; Michael (Ursula), Johnny, Anthony (Orlaith), her 26 grandchildren; Michael, Sean, Colum, Lisa, Rebecca, Lorraine, Joey, Mark, Pearse, Aoibhe, Tommy, Michaela, Katie, Madison, Sarah, Charlie, Sam, Matthew, Darren, Kerris, Bella, Amelia, Kaiden, David, Donnacha, Cara, Conor and her three great grandchildren; Diarmuid, Harper and Gearoid. Brigid’s remains will repose at Smith’s Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim on Tuesday, April 8 from 6pm – 8pm. Brigid’s Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, April 9 at 12 noon in St Joseph's church Aughavas followed by burial in Aughavas old cemetery. Brigid’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed and can be viewed HERE.

Bridie Lally (née O'Boy), Lavagh, Drumsna, Leitrim / Monivea, Galway

The death has occurred peacefully in Kenbrook Care Home, Wembley, London on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 of Bridie Lally (nee O'Boy) Wembley, UK and formerly of Lavagh, Drumsna, Co Leitrim. August 20, 1933 - March 18, 2025.

Predeceased by her parents William and Kate, her siblings Molly, Nancy, Kathleen, Pat and Billy and husband Christy (Kilbeg, Monivea). Bridie will be sadly missed by her children Deirdre, Noel, Christine and William, their partners Paul, Linda, Steve and Roisin, her grandchildren Joseph, Emma, Benjamin, Matthew, Daniel, Lucy, Oliver and Grace, her brother Michael, sisters in-law Olive, Bridie and Sheil, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Mass of Thanksgiving will take place in St. Erconwald's Church, Wembley on Monday, April 7 after which Bridie will travel to Ireland for Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday, April 9 in St Mary’s Church, Menlough (H53 HF10). Bridie will be laid to rest in Doonane Cemetery.

Brendan Dunne, Gardanne, France / formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully following an illness borne with great courage on Saturday, March 15, 2025 of Brendan Dunne, Gardanne, France and formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon. 

Beloved husband to Marion (McDevitt) and devoted father to Emma & Matthieu. Cherished son of Noreen and the late Denis. Loving brother to Siobhán, Gráinne, Gary, Niamh & Fiona. Brendan will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.
