Margaret (Margo) Ward (née Whitney), Legan, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at her home in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, March 30, 2025 of Margaret (Margo) Ward (nee Whitney), Legan, Co Longford. 

Predeceased by her parents James and Margaret. Margo will be sadly missed by loving husband Colm, daughters Louise and Sinead her son Ciaran, sister Breda, brothers Patrick and Bernard, her much loved grandchildren Ruadhan and Caoimhe, son-in-law Martin, daughter-in-law Eileen, brother-in-law TJ, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May Margo Rest In Peace.

Reposing in Our lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown (N39VR04) on Tuesday evening, April 1 from 6pm followed by prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 2 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Legan followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private please. Dolores Claffey (née Nally), Clonskeagh, Dublin / Ballymahon, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, at home, in her 93rd year on Thursday, March 27, 2025 of Dolores Claffey (nee Nally) Clonskeagh, Dublin/ Ballymahon, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Cyril. She will be very sadly missed by her daughter Maureen, sons Stephen, Cyril and John, son-in-law Niall, daughter-in-law Anita, grandchildren Michelle, Frances, Deirdre, Federica, Theo, Freya, and Esme, nephews and nieces, extended family and friends. May she Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her home from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, March 30 and from 2pm to 4pm on Monday, March 31.

Removal from her home on the morning of Tuesday, April 1 to the Church of Sts Columbanus and Gall, Milltown for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Mount Venus Cemetery. Family requests that no flowers be sent and encourages donations to the Irish Cancer Society. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live HERE.

Teresa Fagan (née Connolly), The Manse, Ballymore, Co Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 31, 2025 of Teresa Fagan (nee Connolly), The Manse, Ballymore, Co Westmeath. 

Predeceased by her husband Jim, beloved baby Michael and daughter Marie. Sadly missed and always remembered with love by her cherished children Camilla, David, Gabrielle, Patricia and Nóra, her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, close family and friends. Just a prayer from the family who loved you, Just a memory fond and true, In our hearts, you will live forever, Because we thought the world of you. Rest in peace Teasie.

Reposing at Rooney's Funeral Home, Ballymore, (N91 FW90), on Wednesday, April 2 from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Thursday, April 3 to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Ballymore (N91 D762), arriving at 12pm for Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Daniel (Danny) Calders, Tycusker, Arva, Cavan

The death occurred in Lisdarn Care Unit surrounded by his loving family after a long illness on Saturday, March 29, 2025 of Daniel (Danny) Calders, Tycusker, Arva, Co Cavan H12 C7X2. 

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Molly, his first wife Bridie, sisters Julie, Eileen and Maureen and his brother Terry. Loving husband of Bernie and father of Damien (Shuvaun). Danny will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Cian and Mina, his brothers Jet, Noel, Tom and Brendan, his sister Tina and by his large extended family, neighbours and many friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his residence at Tycusker (H12 C7X2) on Monday, March 31 from 3pm until 8pm. House private to family, neighbours and close friends at all other times please. Funeral Mass at 11am on Tuesday, April 1 in The Sacred Heart Church, Arva with burial afterwards in St. Mary's Church cemetery, Carrigallen. Family flowers only please. Sybil Burke (née Shannon), Turrock, Dysart, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully in her 91st year, at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 30, 2025 of Sybil Burke (nee Shannon) Turrock, Dysart, Roscommon.

Predeceased by her husband Luke, sister Muriel Boyle (Athleague) and brother Noel. She will be sadly missed by her loving son Thomas (Four Roads), daughter Mary Doyle, (Drumlish, Co Longford), daughter-in-law Anna, son-in-law Aidan, grandchildren Niamh, Aoife, Tara and Caoimhe, her four cherished great grandchildren, her brothers Geoffrey Shannon (Longford) and Edward Shannon (Galway), sister-in-law Mary Naughton (Ballygar), nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Dempsey’s funeral home, Ballyforan, H53 HE63, on Tuesday evening, April 1 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Removal from her home on Wednesday morning, April 2 to the Church of Christ the Good Shepherd, Four Roads for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Tisrara cemetery. The death occurred in the kind care of the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle on Sunday, March 30, 2025 of James (Jimmy) Kelleher late of Clooneybeirne, Four-Mile-House, Co Roscommon and formerly of Drumcondra, Dublin 9, & Pallasgreen, Co Limerick. Former staff member of Arnotts, Dublin.

Beloved husband of the late Mary (neé Beirne, Derryphatten). Jimmy will be sadly missed by his sister Esther, brother John, nieces Cathy & Rosie, nephews Roddy, Jim & David, brothers-in-law Sean, Hubert & Joe, extended family & neighbours as well as a country wide circle of lifelong friends. The death occurred peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family after a brave and courageous fight against illness on Saturday, March 29, 2025 of Brendan O'Neill, Ranaghan, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Maureen, brothers Pat, Aidan and Noel, and sisters Teresa and Jacinta. The death occurred peacefully on his 80th birthday, in the care of his daughter Michelle on Friday, March 14, 2025 of Pat Wynne Harborne, Birmingham and formerly of Garryfluigh, Corraleehan, Co Cavan/Leitrim.

Predeceased by his wife Mary, parents Michael and Kathleen, brother Benny and sisters Bridie, Josie, Kathleen and Theresa Carmel. Loved dearly and sadly missed by his children Marie, Michelle and Patrick; his grandchildren Mary, Katie, Patrick and Charlie; his brothers Dominic and Eugene; his sisters Mary and Bernadette, all in the extended Wynne families, neighbours and friends.         Brendan Dunne, Gardanne, France / formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Roscommon

        The death occurred peacefully following an illness borne with great courage on Saturday, March 15, 2025 of Brendan Dunne, Gardanne, France and formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon. 

        Beloved husband to Marion (McDevitt) and devoted father to Emma & Matthieu. Cherished son of Noreen and the late Denis. Loving brother to Siobhán, Gráinne, Gary, Niamh & Fiona. Brendan will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.
