The death occurred peacefully at Lough Erril Nursing Home, Mohill, Co Leitrim on Saturday, March 22, 2025 of Michael Cassidy, Ballyduffy, Moyne, Longford. 

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Emily. Survived by his brother Peter (Joan) and family, Fyhora, sister Ellen and family, USA, sister Bridget, Ballyduffy and Emily (Vincent) and family, Newtowngore, his many nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews and many cousins. Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at Lough Erril Oratory, N41 XE39 on Monday evening, March 24 from 6pm until 8pm. Removal arriving via Corriga to St Francis Xavier Church, Moyne, N39 P462 for funeral mass at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 25 followed by internment in adjoining cemetery. Funeral will be live streamed HERE. House private please.

Paul Holdroyd, Ratharney, Abbeyshrule, Longford

The death occurred peacefully but unexpectedly at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore in his 75th year on Saturday, March 22, 2025 of Paul Holdroyd, Ratharney, Abbeyshrule, Longford. 

Paul will be sadly missed by his loving wife Pam and daughter Gemma, his brother John and wife Catherine, his brother Roger and his wife Terri, sister in law Sandra, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Service to be held at Lakelands Crematorium Cavan on Tuesday, March 25 at 12 noon. Donations if desired to Friends of the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore in lieu of flowers please. House strictly private at all times please.

Rita Moran (née Mulligan), Tully, Emyvale, Monaghan, H18D297 / Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Sunday, March 23, 2025 of Rita Moran (née Mulligan), Tully, Emyvale, Monaghan, H18D297 / Aughnacliffe, Longford. Predeceased by her daughter in law Dolores.

Beloved wife of Gus and loving mother of Monica (Kim Michael), Dympna, Margaret (John Crudden), Francie (Teresa), Dermot (Lorraine Callaghan), Geraldine (Walter Patterson), Rita (John McEvoy) and Sinead. She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters and sons and her grandchildren Louise, Shane, Aisling, Ella, Darren, Kerri (R.I.P.), Keith, Colm, Danielle, Ciaran, Kate, Conor, Sean and her seven great grandchildren along with her extended family, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her home on Monday, March 24 from 4pm until 8pm and on Tuesday, March 25 from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday, March 26 at 10.30am, arriving at St Patrick’s Church, Corracrin for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live here. The death occurred peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 of Patrick Hevehan, Clonmee, Newtowncashel, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Bridget, brother Thomas, son T.J. and by his beloved wife Catherine.

Patrick will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughter Mary, sisters Margaret and Christina, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Saturday, March 22 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 of Joe Fallon, Sutton, Dublin 13 and formerly of Lanesboro, Co Roscommon and late of Joe Fallon Motors.  

Beloved husband of the late Catherine and predeceased by his cherished daughter Aisling, his parents Frank and Lena, siblings Cyril, Gabriel and Des. Joe will be deeply missed by his loving daughter Deirdre, sons Rónán and Gearóid, son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Dee, his adored grandchildren Amelia, Joseph and Alannah, his sisters-in-law Maureen Fallon and Betty Doris, nieces, nephews, extended family, great friends and neighbours. “Solas síoraí dá anam uasal".

Reposing in Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Saturday, March 22 from 2pm to 4pm. Michael (Mixcie) McGovern, Glen Abhainn, Enfield, Meath / Ballinagh, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 21, 2025 of Mixcie McGovern, Glen Abhainn, The Green, Enfield, Co Meath and late of Shannow, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Kathleen Mc Govern and his brother in law Ciaran Coll.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving brothers and sisters - Marie (Paul Mc Conn), Olive (Mark Quinn), PJ (Joanne Ryan), Dolores (Con Briody), Margo, Seamus (Fiona), Carol, Sinead, and Siobhan (Coll), his god daughter Sorcha, nieces, nephews, cousins, his colleagues in the ESB, his music family and his many friends. May Mixcie Rest In Peace.

The death occurred peacefully at his home and in the presence of his loving family on Thursday, March 20, 2025 of Richard Brannigan, Kilmacahill House, Rathowen, Westmeath / Down.

The recent death has occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of Suncroft Lodge Nursing Home on Friday, March 21, 2025 of Thomas Joseph (Tommy) Flanagan, Barraderra, Monasterevin, Kildare and formerly of Drumariga, Ballinamore County Leitrim.

Predeceased by his father Thomas, mother Alice and brother Francie. Tommy will be sadly missed by his daughters Michelle, Lorraine and Sharon, sons Ray, Declan, Jason and Darren and their mother Bridget, grandchildren, sons-in-law Daniel and Mark, daughters-in-law Roisin and Aine, sisters Martina, Bernie, Pauline and Geraldine, brothers Pius, Brendan, Gerry, Oliver, Michael and Patrick,brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. The death occurred peacefully following an illness borne with great courage on Saturday, March 15, 2025 of Brendan Dunne, Gardanne, France and formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon. 

Beloved husband to Marion (McDevitt) and devoted father to Emma & Matthieu. Cherished son of Noreen and the late Denis. Loving brother to Siobhán, Gráinne, Gary, Niamh & Fiona. Brendan will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.
