The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Mullingar Regional Hospital and in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, March 8, 2025 of Madeleine Flood (née Shanley), Cornapark, Edgeworthstown, Longford / Westmeath. Predeceased by her husband Tom, brother Tommy and sister Frances.

Madeleine will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons Peter, Pat, Tom and Aidan, grandchildren, great - grandchild, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, neighbours and carers. Rest in Peace.

Removal arriving to St Bridget's Church, Ardagh on Sunday, March 9 for 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 10 at 11am in St Bridget's Church, Ardagh. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. House Private please. Family flowers only. Funeral Mass can be viewed live HERE.

Seamus Canning, Devine Crescent, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Mullingar Regional Hospital and in the presence of his loving family on Thursday, March 6, 2025 of Seamus Canning, Devine Crescent, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford.

Predeceased by his parents John and Teresa. Adored and sadly missed by his daughter Lena, sons John, Ryan, Hayden and his wife Ann, sisters Mary and Carmel, brothers Mickey and Frankie, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.

Seamus Finn, No 11 Canal Close, Longford town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Friday, March 7, 2025 of Seamus Finn, No 11 Canal Close, Longford town and formerly Fondermann, Longford / Moydow.

Predeceased by his parents John and Rose, his brothers and sisters. Seamus will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, partner Ita, sons Seamus and Mel, daughters Rose, Sandra and Susan, sons-in-law Kevin and Dermot, daughters-in-law Jody and Karen, his adored 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and dear friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford N39 KN66 on Saturday, March 8 from 1pm until 3pm followed by removal to St Mary's Church, Moydow for prayers at 5pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, March  9 at 3pm. Following Mass, Seamus will be laid to rest in Moydow Cemetery. Catherine (Cassie) Clyne, Park Road, Longford town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025 of Catherine (Cassie) Clyne, Park Road, Longford town.  

Pre-deceased by her parents Peter and Lucy and by her sister May (Blackpool). Cassie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, son Mark, sisters Lucy (England) and Ann (England), brother Gerry (Longford), brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Sunday, March 9 from 4.30pm until 6.30pm followed by removal to St Mel’s Cathedral for prayers at 7.30pm. Leah Marie Faughnan, Cloonfinnan, Mohill, Co Leitrim

The death occurred at the age of 19 years, suddenly on Thursday, March 6, 2025 of Leah Marie Faughnan, Radharc Na Locha, Cloonfinnan, Mohill, Co Leitrim.

Pre-deceased by her grandparents Hugh and Bernadette Faughnan, Joe Moran and cousin Kristian. Leah will be greatly missed by her heartbroken parents Gerard and Anne Marie, sisters Katie, Sarah and Mia, granny Mary, uncles Jimmy, Dermot and Adrian, aunts Michelle, Mary and Mairead, cousins, relatives, neighbours and Leah's many great friends. Rest in Peace. 

Removal to St Mary's Church Annaduff (N41 CF54) on Monday, March 10 for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by Cremation afterwards in Lakeland's Crematorium Cavan at 4pm. Donations to SADS Foundation (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome). Carmel Regan (née Reynolds), Kilcolman, Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon / Carrigallen, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully with her beloved family by her side in the exceptional care of the Doctors and nurses of Mayo University Hospital Castlebar on Thursday, March 6, 2025 of Carmel Regan (née Reynolds), Kilcolman, Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon and late of Carrigallen, Leitrim. 

She will be very sadly missed and remembered with love by her heartbroken family, her husband Tony, sister Kathleen, brothers Jim and John, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives good neighbours and her many friends. May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace. 

Carmel will lie in repose in The Kilgarriff Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Sunday evening, March 9 from 5pm with removal at 7:30pm to arrive at The Cathedral of the Annunciation and St Nathy, Ballaghaderreen at 8pm. The death occurred peacefully, in the wonderful care of St Gabriel's Ward, Our Lady’s Hospice on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 of Seamus O'Donnell, Dublin and formerly of Arva, Co Cavan. 

Dearly loved father of Dearbhaile and husband of the late Conchessa (McCourt). Deeply regretted by his loving daughter, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

Removal to St Brendan’s Church, Coolock on Monday, March 10 for 11am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Christy (Christopher) Doran, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully, under the excellent care of the staff of Cluain Lir Care Centre, Mullingar, and his family on Thursday, March 6, 2025 of Christy (Christopher) Doran, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Doran, brothers Jackie, Tommy, Fr Liam, Paddy and sisters Mamie, Josie and Trish. Sadly missed by his brothers Gerry and Jimmy, sisters Sr Dympna (Loreto, Arizona), Sr Miriam (Loreto, Navan), Celie Whyte (Coole) and Kathleen Lynch (Kells); brothers-in-law Michael and Patrick; sisters-in-law Bernadette (USA), Kathleen (Castlepollard), Maureen and Irene; and much-loved nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Shaw's Funeral Home, Bishopsgate Street, Mullingar (N91 RY65) on Saturday, March 8 from 5pm until 6.30pm, followed by removal to St Michael's Church, Castlepollard, arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, March 9 at 11.30am, with burial afterwards in St Michael's Cemetery, Castlepollard.

Sr Dominica (Peggy) O'Reilly, Rathbracken, Granard, Longford / Ballymote, Sligo

The death occurred peacefully, in her 96th year, in West Leaderville, Perth, Australia, in the loving care of St John of God's Convent Sisters and her nephew, Kevin Gallagher on Friday, February 21, 2025 of Sr Dominica (Peggy) O'Reilly, late of Rathbracken, Granard, Co Longford and formerly of St John of God Convent, Dun Bhrid, Ballymote, Sligo. 

Predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters, most recently her Sister Joan Gallagher, Rathbracken. Peg will be sadly missed by her Brother Tommy O'Reilly (Newry), Sisters Ellen Float (UK), Liz McNerney and Bridie Myericks (USA), nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be offered in Peg's memory on March 21 at 7.30pm in St Mary's Church, Granard. Peg will be laid to rest in Perth. May she rest in eternal peace.
