The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, February 17, 2025 of Jude Flynn, Aughadegnan, Longford. 

Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, parents Thomas and Emily, sister Úna, brothers Liam, Matt, Bart, Gerard and Fr Tom. Jude will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughter Gráinne, sons Ciaran and Joe, sister Peggy, daughters-in-law Tina and Jean, son-in-law Ryan, grandchildren Emma, Tara, Daniel, Michael, Ruby, Amber and Donal, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Wednesday,  February 19 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, February 20 in St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford at 11am, interment afterwards in Gortletteragh cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live HEREHouse private please.

Frank (Francie) Lennon, Drumbad, Ballinamuck, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at the Manor Nursing Home Edgeworthstown on Monday, February 17, 2025 of Frank (Francie) Lennon, Drumbad, Ballinamuck, Co Longford.

Predeceased by his parents James and Roseanne, brother James, brothers-in-law Patrick (Pa) Kiernan and John McGovern. Beloved husband of Mary. Deeply missed by his wife Mary, sisters Ellen and Mary, brother Michael, sisters-in-law Josephine and Kathy, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. May Frank Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Our Lady's Manor Chapel Edgeworthstown (N39 WF84) on Thursday, February 20 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm followed by removal to St Mary's Church Drumlish for 8pm. Funeral mass on Friday, February 21 in St Mary's Church, Drumlish at 11am followed by burial in the old cemetery Ballinamuck. Funeral mass will be streamed live HERE

Shane Lawlor, Esker Glen, Drumlish, Longford

The death occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, February 15, 2025 of Shane Lawlor, Esker Glen, Drumlish, Co Longford.

Deeply missed by his wife Orla, daughter Niamh, son Cian, parents Pat and Mary, sisters Louise, Nikki and Clodagh, brothers Cathal and Conor, parents-in-law Eugene and Grainne Morris, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and large circle of friends. Predeceased by his sister Susan (Susie). Jack (John) Sloane, Newtown, Kildare / Enfield, Kildare / Ballymahon, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family at Connolly Hospital on Monday, February 17, 2025 of Jack (John) Sloane, Newtown, Enfield, Co Meath, formerly of Ballymahon, Co Longford. 

Beloved husband of Breda and adored father of John and Ray, loving grandfather of Keelan, Oisin, Darragh and Abbie. Deeply regretted by his sister Anne and deceased siblings, daughters in law Deirdre and Denise, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, his wonderful neighbours and Friends. May Jack Rest in Peace.

Philomena Walsh, Rathmore, Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital in the loving care of Dr Sean Moran and the Palliative care team, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 of Philomena Walsh, Rathmore, Aughnacliffe, Longford. 

She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Cait and granddaughter Alanna. Sadly missed by her husband Oliver, daughter Bernice Farrell (Eamon), son Oliver (Rosie), grandchildren Nikita, Darren, Ryan and Rachel, her cherished friend Aoife, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law and wide circle of friends. Family Flowers Only Please.

Joseph (Joe) Cooley, Molly, Aughnacliffe, Longford / Clare

The death occurred peacefully at the Laurel Lodge on Monday, February 17, 2025 of Joseph (Joe) Cooley (senior) Molly, Aughnacliffe, Co Longford and formerly of Co Clare. Predeceased by his wife Rose, parents Nora and Jack, his brothers Johnny and Mickey and his sisters Mary and Kathleen. Sadly missed and forever remembered by his sons Joseph and Colin, daughter Janet and grandson Ryan, his brothers Jimmy and Louis, his sister Noreen, his nieces and nephews, his extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends. May Joe Rest in Eternal Peace. 

Reposing at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Oratory on Tuesday, February 18 from 6pm-8pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday, February 19 at 11am in St Colmcille's Church, Aughnacliffe and burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society care of Farrell's Funeral Directors, Ballinalee.

Eileen Larkin (née Browne), Oakwood, Ballinderreen, Galway / Killoe, Longford

The death occurred after a short illness, surrounded by her family at the Galway Clinic, on Friday, February 14, 2025 of Eileen Larkin (née Browne), Oakwood, Ballinderreen, Co Galway and formerly of Killoe, Co Longford. 

She was predeceased by her father Tom. Eileen will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Ciarán, daughter Georgia and son, Jake, her mother Tessie, sister Karen, brothers Kevin and Keith. Sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, sisters -in-law, brothers-in-law and a large circle of friends and colleagues, especially at ATU. May she rest in peace. House private please.

Reposing at the Corless Funeral Home, Kinvara H91R25K, on Monday, February 17 from 5pm with removal at 7pm to St Coleman's Church, Kinvara H91 CX97. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, February 18 at 12 noon followed by interment in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore H91 V0FN. The Mass can be viewed on the Ballinderreen and Kinvara Parish Facebook page. Kathleen Dunphy (née Fayne), Meadow Court, Clane, Kildare / Maynooth, Kildare / Lanesboro, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Naas Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 16, 2025 of Kathleen Dunphy (neé Fayne), Meadow Court, Clane, Kildare and late of Cowanstown, Maynooth, Co Kildare and Lanesboro, Co Longford.  

Predeceased by her husband Joseph, sisters Bridie, Chris and Eileen and brother Tim, deeply regretted and sadly missed by her son Aidan, daughter-in-law Mary, grandchildren Ava and Helen, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends. May Kathleen Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Woods House, Clane (W91YPX4) on Tuesday, February 18 from 5pm - 8pm with evening prayers at 7:30pm. Removal from the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 19 at approximately 10am to arrive at St. Patrick's and St Brigid's Church, Clane for 10.30am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery, Clane. The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital, on Saturday, February 15, 2025 of Séamus (Shay) Burns, Bayside, Dublin and formerly of Granard, Longford. 

Beloved husband of Sue and loving father of Mark, Gerry and Darren. Predeceased by his mother Mary, father Conor and brothers Conor, John and Joe. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law and partner Eadaoin, Joanne and Marluce, grandchildren Dáoin, Cadhla, Keelin, Senan and Conan, brother Harry and sister Eileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his residence, on Wednesday evening, February 19 from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning, February 20 to the Church of The Resurrection arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery. The death occurred, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital, on Sunday, February 16, 2025 of John Tierney, Drumbrade, Ballinagh, Cavan. Beloved husband of Maureen and dear father of Adrian, Amanda, Liam and Shane. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget Tierney, brother Vinny and sister Patricia.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, son in law Eamonn, daughters in law, Carmel and Louise, his adored grandchildren Ciarán, Darragh, Sadhbh and Seán, brother Tom, sisters Mary, Margaret, Pauline, Kitty and Betty.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Monday February 17 from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, removal afterwards to St Michael's Church, Potahee, to arrive at 8pm. Thomas (Tom) Neary, Cloonfree, Strokestown, Roscommon

The death occurred suddenly at his home in Harrow, Middlesex, UK on Saturday, January 25, 2025 of Thomas (Tom) Neary Cloonfree, Strokestown, Roscommon.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Annabelle, his son Adrian, his sisters Margaret (Brennan), Patricia (Smith) and Mary (Lyng), his brothers James, Eddie, Joe and Eugene, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Tom is predeceased by his parents Edward and Kathleen. Rest In Peace.

    The death occurred after a short illness in the loving care of the staff of Castlecomer District Hospital on Sunday, February 16, 2025 of Patrick Duignan, 28 Woodview, Freshford, Kilkenny/ Gortletteragh, Leitrim.

    Deeply regretted by his loving wife Anna Nora (Kelly), sons Brian and John, grandchildren Hannah, Tess and Luca, daughter-in-law Audrey (Comerford), John's partner Patricia Caspio, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, relatives and friends. RIP. 

    Reposing in Kennedy's Funeral Home Freshford, R95 C44T, on Tuesday, February 18 from 6pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7pm.     The death occurred, peacefully at Ballinamore nursing unit surrounded her family, on Sunday, February 16, 2025 of Anna Mary Nash (née Kiernan), Kivey, Carrigallen, Leitrim. Predeceased by her husband Johny.

    Anna Mary will be sadly missed by her loving family sons Sean and Seamus, daughters Mary (Murtagh), Kathleen (Rawle) and Patricia (O'Connor), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grand children, great grandchildren, cousins, relatives and friends. May she Rest In Peace. 

    Reposing at Smith's funeral home High Street, Ballinamore on Monday, February 17 from 5pm until 7pm. Eircode N41 TD62. Removal from her residence on Tuesday, February 18 arriving to St Mary's Church, Carrigallen for Funeral mass at 1pm burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. May her gentle soul Rest In Peace. Family flowers only please donations in lieu if so desired to the Irish cancer society c/o McGuckian Funeral Directors Carrigallen or any family member.
