Edward (Ned) Flood, St Patrick’s Terrace, Edgeworthstown, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home on Friday, February 14, 2025 of Edward (Ned) Flood, St Patrick’s Terrace, Edgeworthstown, Longford. Predeceased by his beloved wife Crissie and by his brothers Paddy and Sonny, sisters Roseanne, Kitty and Maureen. Ned will be sadly missed by his son Peter, grandchildren Grace and Conor, daughter-in-law Sinead, nephews, nieces, relatives, his wonderful carers, especially Kate and his wide circle of friends. Reposing in Our Lady's Manor Edgeworthstown on Sunday evening, February 16 from 4pm with prayers at 6pm Funeral Mass Monday, February 17 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church Edgeworthstown, followed by burial in Aughafin Cemetery. The Funeral Mass my be viewed live HERE.  

Eileen Larkin (née Browne), Oakwood, Ballinderreen, Galway / Killoe, Longford

The death occurred after a short illness, surrounded by her family at the Galway Clinic, on Friday, February 14, 2025 of Eileen Larkin (née Browne), Oakwood, Ballinderreen, Co Galway and formerly of Killoe, Co Longford. 

She was predeceased by her father Tom. Eileen will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Ciarán, daughter Georgia and son, Jake, her mother Tessie, sister Karen, brothers Kevin and Keith. Sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, sisters -in-law, brothers-in-law and a large circle of friends and colleagues, especially at ATU. May she rest in peace. House private please.

Reposing at the Corless Funeral Home, Kinvara H91R25K, on Monday, February 17 from 5pm with removal at 7pm to St Coleman's Church, Kinvara H91 CX97. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, February 18 at 12 noon followed by interment in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore H91 V0FN. The Mass can be viewed on the Ballinderreen and Kinvara Parish Facebook page. The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital, on Saturday, February 15, 2025 of Séamus (Shay) Burns, Bayside, Dublin and formerly of Granard, Longford. 

Martin Cummins, Screebogue, Carrickboy, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in his home in the loving care of his family after a short illness, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 of Martin Cummins, Screebogue, Carrickboy, Longford. 

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary. Martin will be sadly missed and always remembered with love by his family, his loving wife and best friend Marlene, his cherished daughter Susanne and sons Tom, David and Stephen, daughters-in-law Sheila, Aisling and Danielle, son-in-law John, his adored grandchildren Isaac, Darragh, Zoe, Kate, Cara, Arthur and Hugo, sister Ann, brothers Pat and Tom, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, aunt-in-law Helena, nieces, nephews, relatives, all his wonderful neighbours and dear friends. Your life was love and labour, Your love for your family true, You did your best for all of us, We will always remember you. Rest in Peace.

Martin will repose in Our Lady’s Manor Chapel, Edgeworthstown, N39 VR04 on Saturday, February 15 from 3pm concluding with prayers at 5pm. Removal from his home on Sunday, February 16 to arrive to Carrickedmond Church, N39 RT21 for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Following Mass, Martin will be laid to rest in the family plot in the local cemetery. John Colligan, Dooslatta, Rooskey, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully in his 95th year at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 13, 2025 of John Colligan, Dooslatta, Rooskey, Co Roscommon and more recently of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey, Co Roscommon.

John is predeceased by his parents Stephen and Ann, his sister Ann Keogh and brother Stephen Colligan. John will be sadly missed by his sister Eileen Boland (Ballyleague), sister-in-law Ursula Colligan (Scramogue), his nieces and nephews, his grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends (especially Pat Neary). John will be fondly remembered by the wonderful staff and management of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home whose exceptional care allowed him to live out his life in great comfort. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Leavy’s Funeral Home, Scramogue(F42 FD78) on Sunday, February 16 from 5pm until 7pm, followed by removal to St. Anne’s Church, Slatta (F42 DW64), to arrive at 7.30pm. John’s funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 17  at 12 noon in St Anne’s Church, Slatta, followed by burial afterwards in Kilglass Cemetery.

John Tierney, Drumbrade, Ballinagh, Cavan

The death occurred, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital, on Sunday, February 16, 2025 of John Tierney, Drumbrade, Ballinagh, Cavan. Beloved husband of Maureen and dear father of Adrian, Amanda, Liam and Shane. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget Tierney, brother Vinny and sister Patricia.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, son in law Eamonn, daughters in law, Carmel and Louise, his adored grandchildren Ciarán, Darragh, Sadhbh and Seán, brother Tom, sisters Mary, Margaret, Pauline, Kitty and Betty.

The death occurred, peacefully at Ballinamore nursing unit surrounded her family, on Sunday, February 16, 2025 of Anna Mary Nash (née Kiernan), Kivey, Carrigallen, Leitrim. Predeceased by her husband Johny.

Anna Mary will be sadly missed by her loving family sons Sean and Seamus, daughters Mary (Murtagh), Kathleen (Rawle) and Patricia (O'Connor), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grand children, great grandchildren, cousins, relatives and friends. May she Rest In Peace. 

Reposing at Smith's funeral home High Street, Ballinamore on Monday, February 17 from 5pm until 7pm. Eircode N41 TD62. Removal from her residence on Tuesday, February 18 arriving to St Mary's Church, Carrigallen for Funeral mass at 1pm burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
