The death occurred peacefully in the company of his family in his 92nd year on Friday, January 10, 2025 of Conal Henry O'Ferrall, Camlisk, Edgeworthstown, Longford. Predeceased by his sons Brian and David, sisters Yvonne and Gwen. Sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Rosie, sons Mark and Roderick, daughters Charlotte and Suzanne, grandchildren, great granchildren, nieces and nephews, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, relatives, neigbours and a large circle of good friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford (N39 VR040) on Sunday, January 12 from 5pm with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, January 13 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown. Burial afterwards in Aughafin Cemetery. House private please. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live HERE

The death occurred peacefully in the care of St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin on Saturday, January 11, 2025 of Veronica Maguire, St Matthew's Park, Ballymahon, Longford.

Phyllis Boylan (née Crowe), Drumhowra, Loughduff, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully but suddenly at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family in her 93rd year on Saturday, January 11, 2025 of Phyllis Boylan (née Crowe), Drumhowra, Loughduff, Cavan. Predeceased by her husband James sister Mary, brothers Peter, James and Tommy. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Breda (Francis) son James (Angela) sister in law Ann, grandchildren Niamh (Darren), Tomás (Jessica), Jamie, Aoife and Oí​​​​​sin. nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy (N39W1D6) on Sunday evening, January 12 from 5pm with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, January 13 in St Joseph's Church, Loughduff (H12F968) at 11 am. Internment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House strictly private please. Funeral Mass will be streamed live HERE. The Boylan family would like to acknowledge the kindness and care shown to Phyllis during her short stay at Castlemanor Nursing Home Cavan.

Michael Shedwell, The Demense, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 of Michael Shedwell, The Demense, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased his parents Michael and Elizabeth, sisters Mafie and Yvette and by his nephews Derek and Gary.

Michael will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved wife Phyllis, daughter Sarah, sons Michael, Kevin, Martin and Daniel, daughters-in-law Amber, Emma, Heamin and Rachel, son-in-law Kevin, sister Finola, brothers George, Kenneth, Declan and Joe, grandchildren Natalie, Layla, Leah, Harry, Connor, Sylvie, Lucy and Maeva, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Friday, January 10 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, January 11 at 11am in St Mel’s Cathedral followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium at 4pm. Eithne Murphy, Strokestown Road, Ballyleague, Roscommon / Lanesboro, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 of Eithne Murphy, Strokestown Road, Ballyleague, Co Roscommon and formerly of The Green, Lanesboro, Co Longford. 

Much loved wife of Billy Mulqueen and adored mother to Lisa and Gary. She will be very sadly missed by her family, Billy’s children Hugh and Maeve, her brother Oliver, sister Claire and her daughter-in-law Edel. Cherished Mamo to Chloe, Tess, Noel, Ayla and Edie. She will be always remembered by Lisa and Gary’s dad Tony McCaffrey, her brothers-in-law, treasured nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Eithne is predeceased by her parents Tony and Tess and her sister Stella. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her home in Ballyleague N39 X9E5 on Friday, January 10 from 4pm until 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning, January 11 at 11.40am to St Mary’s Church, Lanesboro arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Catherine Ludorf, Midara Gardens, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the care of the staff of Mullingar Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 of Catherine Ludorf, Midara Gardens, Longford. Predeceased by her husband Franz.

Catherine will be dearly missed by her loving family, daughter Rosanna, sons Franz and Paul, daughters-in-law, her adored grandchildren Patrick and Lucy, Elliot, Sophia, Nicholas and Daniel, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and dear friends.

In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, No one could ever fill. Rest in Peace Catherine.

The death occurred suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, under the wonderful care of the Nurses and Staff at Thormond Lodge Nursing Home, Ballymahon on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 of Paddy McNamara, Granard Post Office, Main Street, Granard, Longford and formerly of Creighan, Cavan. Predeceased by his father and mother James and Margaret McNamara and younger brother Tom.

Beloved husband of Kay, much loved father of Adrian, Finbarr, Padraig, Derek, Ronan, and Fergal, adored grandfather of 19 grandchildren. Cherished brother of Chris (California), Margaret, Jimmy, Joseph, and Josephine. Paddy will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers -in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May Paddy's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his son Padraig's home, Robinstown, Granard, Co Longford on Friday, January 10 from 2pm to 8pm. Removal from Robinstown on Saturday, January 11 to St Mary's Church, Granard, Co Longford for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by Christian burial in Granardkill new cemetery.  Funeral Mass can be viewed online HERE. House strictly private outside of reposing times please. The death occurred peacefully at home in the care of her heartbroken family on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 of Marie Baxter (née Maher), River Crescent, Ballinalee, Longford and formerly Lucan, Dublin. Predeceased by her parents Mick and Sally, her beloved daughter Nicola, brother Michael and son-in-law Albie.

Marie will be sadly missed by her loving family, husband Johnny, daughters Claire and Sineád, sons Jamie, Trevor and stepson Tony, daughters-in-law Aishling and Michelle, son-in-law Thomas, her adored grandchildren Aaron, Lauren, Kasey, Abbie, Zoe, Jacob and Archie, sisters and brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and her dear friends in Longford and Dublin.

Removal from her home on Saturday, January 11 to arrive to the Holy Trinity Church, Ballinalee for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass Marie will be laid to rest in St Emer's Cemetery, Ballinalee. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Longford Palliative Care c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. House private please.

Marie's family would like to express their gratitude to all who cared for her during her illness, Nurse Marie McGivney, Doctor Paddy Breslin, and the Irish Cancer Society and her dear friends who were there when she needed them most.

Daniel Harvey, Finglas, Dublin / Longford Town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at the Mater Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 of Daniel Harvey, Finglas, Dublin/ Longford town.

Beloved husband of Bridie and cherished father of Marie, Darnell, Gerard, Regina, and Laurence. Formerly of Longford Town, and late of the Irish Army and Burges Galvin, Jamestown Road, Finglas. Danny will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his devoted wife, children, grandchildren Danielle, Glenn, Karl, Ross, Teegan, and Craig, great-grandchildren Emily, Tillymae, Harry, and Wayne, sons-in-law Paul and William, sisters Mary, Philo, and Angela, brother Edward, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Removal on Saturday morning, January 11 to Saint Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Rivermount, Finglas South, arriving for 10am Funeral Mass. Thereafter to Dardistown Cemetery for burial. Maura O'Keefe (née Mulligan), Dunbeggan, Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death occurred after a short illness and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 24, 2024 of Maura O'Keefe (née Mulligan), Sutton, Surrey, England and formerly Dunbeggan, Aughnacliffe, Co Longford. Predeceased by her father Paddy, niece Leah, baby Niall and baby Donna. Maura will be forever missed by her husband Michael, daughters Geraldine (Paul), Nicola (Dean), son Gavin and her adoring grandchildren Billy, Jake, Holly, Amy, Ava, Maisey, her mother Maisie, sisters Margaret, Annarose, Martina, Lisa and Celia, brothers Padraig, Seamie, Francie and Barry, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and large circle of friends. Funeral arrangements later.

Funeral Mass on January 15 in the Holy Family Church, Sutton Green, Sutton followed by cremation at North East Surrey Crematorium. There will be a Mass in St Colmcille Church to celebrate Maura's life at a later date.

Mirjana Pap, Beechville, Athlone, Westmeath

It is with heavy hearts that we remember Mirjana Pap, Beechville, Athlone, Westmeath who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Mirjana was predeceased by her dear father, Dragan, and her beloved husband, Vlado.

Her memory lives on in her cherished children, Bojan and Lora, and her beloved grandson, who were the centre of her world. She will be fondly remembered by her brother, Petar, her nephew and nieces, as well as by friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mirjana’s warmth, kindness, and love will never be forgotten.

Mirjana's funeral service will take place in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan on Saturday, January 11 at 12 noon with Burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be streamed live HERE. Mirjana's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped them over the last while as the come to terms with they loss of there Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. A special word of thank you to everyone for all there love and support

Felix Harten, Carnagh Upper, Kilcogy, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at his home in the loving care of his family on Sunday, December 15, 2024 of Felix Harten, Birmingham, England and formerly Carnagh Upper, Kilcogy, Co Cavan. Predeceased by his parents Felix and Rose his beloved son Colin sisters Kathleen and Eithne and brother Benny.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Elizabeth sons Phelim (Linda) Thomas (Nicola) Dermot (Franchesca) daughter Mary (Andrew) grandchildren Freddy, Felix and Lizabella, brothers Paddy (Carnagh), James (Navan), sisters and brothers in law, nephews, nieces relatives and a large circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

Sean Kelleher, Mullinadara, Carrigallen, Leitrim

The death occurred unexpectedly on Friday, December 13, 2024 of Sean Kelleher, Nottingham, London and formerly of Mullinadara, Carrigallen, Leitrim. 

Sean will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, his partner Bushra, brother Gerry, sisters Maura (Nicholls),Bernadette (Murray), sister-in-law,brothers-in-law,nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he Rest In Peace.
