The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 1, 2024 of Tom Connor, Pallas, Abbeyshrule, Co Longford. Predeceased by his wife Bernie, parents Paddy and Sarah, sisters Mary and Peggy. Tom will be forever missed by his heartbroken family, daughters Deirdre (Doherty) and Sara, sons Tommy, Johnny and Mark, daughters in law Audrey and Claire, son in law Damien, adored grandchildren Sean, Ben, Becca, Keelin, Taryn, Ross, Jack and Katie. Nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. Rest in Peace.
Reposing in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Forgney (N91 AE35) on Sunday afternoon, March 3 from 3pm until 6pm, concluding with prayers at 6pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday, March 4 at 12 noon followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Longford Hospice.

Danny O'Brien, Carrickboy, Longford and late of Durrow, Co Offaly

The death occurred on Sunday, March 3, 2024 of Danny O'Brien, Carrickboy, Longford and late of Durrow, Co Offaly. Predeceased by his sisters Ailish and Sr Mary Francis and his brother Rodge. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mae, his daughters Annie and Niamh Ward (Moydow) and his son Donal (Cornwall), his sisters Clare Hurley (Tipperary), Peggy Twomey (Cork), Sr. Xavier (Tullamore), Julia Carroll (Dublin) and Annie Clavin (Kilbeggan), his brothers Noel (Ballingar) and Michael (Dublin), nieces and nephews, grandchild Sean, daughter-in-law Fran and son-in-law Alan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, neighbours, relatives and friends. Reposing in Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Edgeworthstown, on Tuesday, March 5 from 5pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday, March 6 from his home to St Mary's Church, Legan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Carrickedmond Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Bridget (Delia) Higgins (née Kiernan) Aughawillen, Carrigallen, Leitrim / Moyne, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at her residence in the care of her loving family in her 98th year on Sunday, March 3, 2024 of Bridget (Delia) Higgins (nee Kiernan), Aughawillen, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim and formerly of Ballyduffy, Moyne, Co Longford. Predeceased by her parents, sisters and brothers, infant daughter Bernadette, husband James, son Jim, daughter Mary Bannon and daughter in law Mary Higgins and great-grandson Daniel. Delia will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughters Patricia Ward and Angela Mulligan, sons in law Charlie Ward, Frank Mulligan and Hugh Bannon, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, wonderful neighbours and carers and a wide circle of friends. The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of all the staff of Talbot Lodge Nursing Home, Malahide on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 of Marguerite Kirwan (née Donlon), Dalkey, Co Dublin, late of Longford. Marguerite, beloved wife of the late Matt, much loved and loving mother of Sarah. Sadly missed by her daughter, son-in-law Darren, adored grandchildren Isabelle and Isaac, brother Tommy Noel, sisters Antoinette and Colette, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brothers Canon Patrick PP, Michael and James, sisters Annie, Clare, Elizabeth and Madge. Beloved husband of Brigid and loving father of Padraig, Michael, Siobhan and Breda.
