The death occurred, peacefully in the tender care of the management and staff of Hazelwood, Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, on Thursday, March 9, 2023 of Christina (Chris) Mahon (née Dwyer), 'Forbo', Deanscurragh, Longford Town, Longford and formerly of Tullow, Co Carlow. Predeceased by her loving husband John.
Chris will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her children Mary (Dublin), Joe (Sligo), Monica Göbl (Dublin), Tom (Meath) and Cathal (Roscommon), daughters-in-law Carmel, Grazina, Liz and Vera, son-in-law Albert, grandchildren Laura, Mark, Ian, Conor, Karl, Eva, Sarah, Danny, Ella, Luke, Harry, Cara and Elana, great-grandchildren Rory, Luke and Jack, sister-in-law Anne, brother-in-law Maurice, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Sunday, March 12 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Monday, March 13 from the family home to arrive at St Mel’s Cathedral for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery. Molly, predeceased by her beloved husband John, brothers; Michael, Packie and Eugene. Dear mother of Mary-Catherine and Sean. The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Thomond Lodge Nursing Home, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 of William Forbes, Goshen, Edgeworthstown, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Ethel, sisters Laura Weekes and Betty Porter.

The death occurred, peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, March 9, 2023 of James McCormack, Livingston, Scotland and Kenagh, Longford / Dublin. Predeceased by his father Tommy and nephew Thomas. Sadly missed by his loving wife Imelda, his son James, his daughter Natasha. The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the care of the staff of Mullingar Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 of Brigid (Cissie) McNerney (nee Hagan), Corneddan, Ballinalee, Co Longford. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Tommy and Packie, sister Rose-Ann, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Brigid (Cissie) will be loving remembered by her family, her husband Hugh (Sonny), son Eugene, daughter Rose, daughter-in-law Margaret, son-in-law Johnny, her adored grandchildren Lisa, Carrie, Sharon, Edel and Aisling, great-grandchildren Bláithín and Lily, nephews, nieces, cousins, good neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 of Shay McEvoy, Rathcline Road, Lanesboro, Co Longford. He will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by his much loved wife Geraldine, his loving son John, daughter-in-law Aisling, adored grandchildren Jack and Alex, sisters Christine and Marie, brothers Maurice and Tony, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and good friends. Ann Cullen (nee Thorne), La Montagne, France and formerly Dublin Street and Deanscurragh, Longford

The death occurred of Ann Cullen (nee Thorne), La Montagne, France, daughter of the late William and Catherine Thorne Dublin Street and Deanscurragh, Longford. Ann died in Maulin's Centre Hospital La Montagne, France where she lived for over fifty years with her husband Terry.
She is survived by her husband Terry, formerly of Main St Longford, her brothers Mattie and Frank, relatives and friends.
A commemorative Mass will be held for Ann in St Mel's Cathedral on Sunday, March 12 at 10am.

Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy NÉE Wallace) England and late of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath / Louisburgh, Mayo

The death occurred, peacefully, on Friday, January 13, 2023 of Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy née Wallace), Ruislip, Middlesex, England and formerly of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath and Louisburgh, Co Mayo. Beloved wife of Brian and the late Eamonn and dear mother of Paul and Louise. Noreen will be very sadly missed by her husband and family, son-in-law Gary, daughter-in-law Jackie, her cherished grandchildren Natasha, Heather, Aidan, Pearse and Christy, her brothers Anthony, Stephen and Tommy, sister Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
