Specsavers officially opened in Longford town on Tuesday, March 25 with the creation of seven new jobs.
Drumlish country music star Declan Nerney, along with Longford Town Mayor Cllr Paul Connell, performed the honours and cut the ribbon to declare the 46th Specsavers store in Ireland since 1991 open.
Also in attendance at the opening of the store at 17 Ballymahon Street were Fintan McGill, President Longford Chamber of Commerce, Store Manager Laura Morris, Retail Director Hugh Morrise Director Keith McCallion and Specsavers Ophthalmic Director Fiona Ferguson.
Ms Ferguson commented, “Specsavers is passionate about providing fashionable and affordable eyecare for everyone. And our new store located in the heart of Longford town is fully equipped to deliver the best in eye testing technology to our customers. We look forward to welcoming everyone into the store to see for themselves the great range of glasses available, as well as availing of the on-site eye testing facilities.”
The new store houses two dedicated testing rooms and a team of highly trained optical assistants, to ensure a high level of service.
Customers can avail of the latest state-of-the-art eye testing facilities, including digital retinal photography.
Those seeking the latest in fashionable glasses need look no further than Specsavers in Longford and staff can also offer expert advice to contact lens wearers.
Customers can expect great value offerings at Specsavers Longford, in both eyecare and hearing services, with medical cards and PRSI accepted. The store also has an on-site lab offering a one-hour service to customers.
Specsavers Longford is open every weekday from 10.30am to 6pm Monday and Friday, 9.30am until 6pm on Tuesday, Wednesday with late night opening until 8pm on Thursday. Weekend opening hours are Saturday 9.30am until 6pm.
