Ciaran Mullooly welcomed the announcement by European Commission President to to suspend the EU–Israel Trade Agreement
Midlands-North-West MEP Ciaran Mullooly today in Strasbourg welcomed the announcement by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen that she will belatedly propose to suspend the EU–Israel Trade Agreement.
The agreement under Article 2 requires that any country trading with the EU must uphold international humanitarian standards.

Mr Mullooly stated: “Israel has been in breach of these standards and conditions for many months in relation to-its actions in Gaza. From the very first day of my mandate in the European Parliament, I have called for this suspension.
"The ongoing starvation inflicted on the people of Gaza must stop. While much more needs to be done, today’s decision is a welcome and necessary development.”
