Dromod/Rooskey bus service protest to visit Dail

Members of the Rooskey/Dromod Bus Action Group who are campaigning for the restoration of Bus Eireann services in both areas have organised a free bus which will travel to Dail Eireann next Wednesday, November 14th. The group will present a petition in support of the restoration of the service which has been signed by 1,500 people from the affected towns and surrounding areas to Deputy Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan. Mr Flanagan will then hand the document to Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Leo Varadkar. The handover is planned to take place at 2pm.

Coyle’s Bus Hire have supplied a bus to carry protestors to the event. With spaces limited, those who wish to travel are asked to call group PRO Larry O’Connor on 089 9526346. The bus will depart from Rooskey Community Centre (old school) at 10am.
