Abigail McCarthy is from Mercy Secondary School and was a winner of the 71st Texaco Children's Art Competition

Longford student, Abigail McCarthy is pictured with her mother Lorraine and her prize-winning artwork at the opening of an exhibition of the top 42 winning artworks from the past two years of the Texaco Children's Art Competition being held at Strule Arts Centre, Omagh.

Last year, as a pupil at Mercy Secondary School, Ballymahon, Abigail won first prize in the 14-15 years age category of the 71st Competition for her work entitled ‘I’m Fine’.

Hosted by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, the exhibition is now open to the public each day from Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm, until it closes on Saturday, February 28. Admission is free.
