Brace yourselves for one of the theatre highlights this season at The Dock in Carrick-on-Shannon, as Pat Kinevane performs Silent this evening, Wednesday 19th October.
Audiences and critics have been raving about this show since it opened earlier this year.
Silent, written and performed by Pat Kinevane, has played to sell-out houses at Galway Arts Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer and was awarded a prestigious Scotsman ‘Fringe First Award’ during the first few days of its run at Edinburgh Festival for Pat’s outstanding performance.
Described as a “brilliantly crafted demonstration of everything that is possible in live performance”,
Silent is the touching and challenging story of homeless McGoldrig, who once had splendid things, but he has lost it all – including his mind. He now dives into the wonderful wounds of this past through the romantic world of Rudolph Valentino.
Dare to laugh at despair and gasp at redemption in this brave, bleak, beautiful production. The production was first presented by Fishamble as part of the In Development series at the 2010 Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival.
And to make the evening even more special, there will be a post-show discussion with writer/actor Pat Kinevane, facilitated by Marie Finney, Outreach Worker with NW Simon. This will give you an opportunity to ask questions and get an even better sense of the show.
Silent begins at 8.30pm on Wednesday 19th October and tickets are priced at €17/€15. Bookings on 071 9650828.
