This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Cilloe Yew Tree Players and to mark the occasion the group has undertaken ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’, based upon Dale Wasserman’s adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name (1962) by Ken Kesey.
To escape the drudgery of the pea fields on a work farm, Randle P. McMurphy feigns a psychosis and is committed to an institution. There he meets Nurse Ratched who rules the ward with an iron fist. Until now her patients have dared not oppose her but all this changes when Randle challenges her and the ward regime.
The play opens in Ennybegs Community Centre on Thursday March 22 and runs Saturday March 24, Sunday March 25 and Monday March 26. The performances start at 8.30pm sharp. To avoid disappointment book your ticket on 087-2911994.
