A seven-day festival of events is in the process of been organised, throughout the Counties of Meath, Cavan, Longford and Westmeath to celebrate the year of the gathering by members and friends of this historic Celtic/Norman Family. Interest is been sought both local and worldwide for involvement in the planning and celebrations, which are due to take place from June 21th to 27th.
Initial plans are for a rally at Trim Castle and the initiation of a Clann Chieftain and sub Chieftain, who will preside over the main events of our celebrations. This will take place upon the arrival of the advance party of our guests, on Friday evening June 21st, followed by a reception in the Trim Castle Hotel.The other great highlight on Friday 21st will be the celebration of the Summer Solstice on the Hill of Tara with cultural entertainment specially provided for our visitors.
