The third annual Hype Youth Fest kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, April 26, and it’s shaping up to be the best one yet.
This year, the festival will be held on the grounds of St Mel’s College and preparations are almost complete for the one-day event.
Acts on the day include the Heathers, the Raglans, Knights of Leon, Fresh Ré, White Chalk and i102-104’s Fergal Darcy. The winners of this year’s Longford Youth Factor, along with other talented youths from around the country, will also take to the stage.
New attractions to Hype this year include; total wipeout, an inflatable theme park, zorb bouncers, the RSA shuttle bus and a giant disco tent.
The Hype Youth Fest gives young people a chance to enjoy and experience a festival while in a safe, supervised, alcohol and drug-free environment.
Money raised from the festival will go back into the Attic, helping to fund the refurbishment of the new Attic House.
