Longford-Leitrim band Amble releases newest single "The Rarest Hour"

Amble, the popular Irish band from Leitrim and Longford, have officially released their newest single: "The Rarest Hour" on November 21.

"The song was written in the style of a classic Irish ballad - capturing the enduring pull of home. Looking back on our youth and early days is always bittersweet - the home in our mind which seems everlasting is in reality changing all the time. Home becomes where your people are," the band had written on their social media on November 3, prior to the release.

The song had previously been teased in Amsterdam and Derry's Millennium Forum. The band's members are: Robbie Cunningham, Oisín McCaffrey, and Ross McNerney, the latter who is from Longford and featured for a 'Longford Lives' interview prior to Electric Picnic, and in the autumn 2025 'Longford Life' magazine.
